West Coast players took some time out from their Western Derby preparations to present trophies to 2016 Eagles Cup winners on Monday. The Eagles Cup, a joint initiative between the West Coast Eagles, BHP Billiton and the West Australian Football Commission, is WA’s premier inter-school football competition for Years 4-7 students. Thirty schools enjoyed a special visit from Eagles' players, who spent their time presenting trophies, answering questions, signing autographs and posing for photos. South Fremantle and Perth will play in Carnarvon this weekend as part of the State Government’s Country Sports Enrichment Scheme (CSES). The Round 20 game on Saturday August 6 will kick off at 1.30pm at Carnarvon Festive Grounds and be hosted by the Gascoyne Football Association. The West Australian State 15s AFL Female Team battled it out in the National 15s Grand Final after the side secured strong victories in all its matches in the week-long carnival held in Queensland.
