WAFL action resumed on the weekend for Round 11 of the 2017 season with South Fremantle remaining clear on top of the Reserves with Peel Thunder claiming top spot in the REDiMED Colts.

The Round 11 reserves action began on Saturday with Subiaco defeating Peel Thunder 11.10 (76) to 5.12 (42) and Swan Districts beating Perth 8.12 (60) to 7.15 (57).

Then on WA Day, South Fremantle defeated East Fremantle 17.9 (111) to 10.7 (67) and East Perth downed West Perth 13.5 (83) to 9.8 (62).

South Fremantle finished the round two games and percentage clear on top of the reserves ladder with an 8-2 record. Claremont (6-3) remains second ahead of Perth (6-4), East Fremantle (5-4) and Swan Districts (4-5).

East Perth (4-6) is just outside the top five followed by Subiaco (4-6), West Perth (3-6) and Peel Thunder (3-7).

Round 11 of the REDiMED Colts began on Saturday with Peel Thunder beating Subiaco 10.12 (72) to 4.8 (32) and Swan Districts downing Perth 9.11 (65) to 6.6 (42).

Then on Monday, South Fremantle beat East Fremantle 5.10 (40) to 5.9 (39) and East Perth defeated West Perth 9.10 (64) to 6.10 (46).

Peel Thunder moved to the top of the REDiMED Colts as a result of its win on Saturday and East Fremantle's loss on WA Day. The Thunder improved to a 7-2 record with a draw to be ahead of the 7-2 Sharks.

Swan Districts (6-1-2) sits in third position ahead of Claremont (6-3) and Subiaco (5-5). East Perth (3-7) is sixth in front of South Fremantle (3-7), West Perth (3-6) and Perth (2-8).

STANDOUT RESERVES PERFORMERS
Round 11 action got underway on Saturday with Subiaco claiming a 34-point victory in the reserves over Peel Thunder at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

Ray Daniels put his hand up for a league call up with the Lions delivering 21 possessions and four goals in the victory.

Ryan Vermeersch and Josh Chapman kicked two goals apiece for Subiaco.

Daniel Perkins picked up 27 possessions for the Lions to go with laying 12 tackles with Daniel Leach finishing with 25 disposals, Rowen Powell 24, James Garcia 23, Ryan Borchet 22 and ruckman Adam Creeper 17 to go with six marks and 46 hit outs.

Brett Milward kicked two of Peel's five goals for the game to go with 15 possessions and seven marks.

Brad Walsh amassed 31 disposals for the Thunder, Michael Humble 29, Josh Mathers 24, Chris Wrigley 24, Calvin Thorne 20 and Jacob Perry 19.

Swan Districts claimed a thrilling three-point reserves victory over Perth at Lathlain Park.

Steven Wityk kicked three goals for Swans and Josh Kirkup two.

Ethan Maguire gathered 26 possessions for the black-and-whites, David McKay 26, Warrick Wilson 24, Tom Smirk 23, Jacob Coniglio 22, Josh POwer 19 and Brayden Hackett 18.

Ruckman Troy Yukich also had 13 touches and 46 hit outs.

Callum Walley kicked four goals for Perth with Taran Etto amassing 31 possessions while laying 13 tackles.

Lennon Marlin gathered 29 disposals for the Demons, Sam Perkusich 23, Andries Mercer 23, Chris Leonard 21 and Jarrad Irons 18.

Then in the reserves contest at East Fremantle Oval, South Fremantle beat East Fremantle by 44 points on WA Day.

Steven Edwards made his return from injury with four goals and 20 possessions while Mitch Dzelebdzic kicked three goals, Tom Vandeleur two and Zac De San Miguel two.

Shaun Bewick responded well to his demotion to amass 46 possessions and 12 marks for the Bulldogs with Brendan Verrier gathering 32 disposals, Jarrod Parry 29 and Kyle Russell 18.

Daniel Parker kicked three goals for East Fremantle, Josh Cuneo two and Jesse Mirco two.

Ben Harding picked up 32 possessions for the Sharks, Tim Bristow 18, Carl Green 18 and Corey Holmes 18.

Then in the reserves WA Day clash at Leederville Oval, East Perth beat West Perth by 21 points.

Steven Payne put his hand up for a recall with East Perth with 27 possessions, and eight marks and two goals. Stan Wright impressed as well with 22 touches and two goals while Thomas Amos also booted two majors.

Jordan Snadden racked up 29 possessions for the Royals, Ben Miller 27, Mitch Dobson 22, Tarir Bayok 21 and Nelson Waite 20.

Sam Rotham and Max Alexander kicked two goals apiece for West Perth.

Mitch Peirce continued to press his claims for a league recall racking up another 34 possessions while Ben McGillivray finished with 22 disposals, Alexander Coe 21, Conal Lynch 21, Kael Coleman 16 and James Batterham 16.

There were also good signs with some important players returning from injuries for West Perth. Joe Morrow had 16 possessions and 10 marks, Chris Keunen eight touches and 11 hit outs, and Ben King six disposals and six tackles.

REDiMED COLTS SHINING LIGHTS
Saturday's colts action began at Bendigo Bank Stadium with Peel moving to top of the ladder with a 40-point victory over Subiaco.

Michael Stevens kicked four goals for the Thunder from 11 kicks and six marks.

Jarvis Pina racked up 27 possessions for Peel, Jackson Perry 25, Jake Howes 23, Brad Oldfield 22, Michael Randall 22, Zachary Moody 20, Lachlan Riley 19, Kyle Havelberg 19 and James Sturrock 18.

Isaac Burrawanga, Thomas Edwards-Baldwin, Luke Foley and Xavier Peacock were the goal kickers for Subiaco.

Liam Hickmott gathered 26 possessions for the Lions, Max Dennis 25, Liam Connolly 20, Tristan Hobley 20 and Koby Fullgrabe 17.

Swan Districts came away with a 23-point colts victory over Perth also on Saturday at Lathlain Park.

Aidan Clarke and Malaki Rodoreda kicked two goals each for the black-and-whites with Rodoreda also collecting 22 possessions and taking six marks.

Greg Humphries also picked up 19 touches for Swans, Blake Pescud 19 and ruckman Oskar Matthews 11 to go with 39 hit outs.

Luke English delivered a strong performance for Perth with 23 possessions, six tackles and two goals while Trent Simpson also booted two majors.

Maverick Hamilton finished the game with 22 possessions for the Demons, Zac Casey 21 and Joseph Ugle 20.

The WA Day Foundation Derby action began at East Fremantle Oval with a thrilling colts contest that saw South Fremantle manage to break the deadlock with a late behind to prevail by a point over East Fremantle.

Kyle Hamersley finished with 20 possessions and two goals for the Bulldogs.

Regan Spooner also picked up 25 disposals for South Fremantle, Matthew Ward 23, Jack Musika 21 (11 tackles), Eddy Pezet 18, Kayne Ferraro 18, Alex Cabassi 17, Glenn Byron 17 and Bruno Faulkner 16 to go with five tackles, four inside-50 entries and a goal.

Dillon O'Reilly kicked three goals for East Fremantle to go with 16 possessions, nine marks and 17 hit outs.

Dylan Williams also gathered 26 disposals for the Sharks, Timothy Bockman 20, Jayden Quill 16 and Dwayne Nevill 16.

WA Day began on Monday at Leederville with the REDiMED Colts contest that saw East Perth beat West Perth by 18 points.

Rhai-am Cox finished with 17 possessions, eight tackles, six marks and three goals for East Perth.

Nathan Arbon also gathered 21 disposals for the Royals, Jake Dugan 21, Eric Bashemule 19 and Harley Stack 17.

Jack Burke kicked two goals for the Falcons to go with 15 possessions.

Tom Boyes finished with 23 disposals and 14 tackles for West Perth with Baylee James collecting 22 touches, Bailey Chalmers 20, Tom Medhat 16, Alec Johnson 15 and Nathan Murray 15.
