The 10-game series will be played across three rounds with matches also scheduled to be played in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. The Round 3 action began on Friday night at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with South Fremantle improving to 3-0 with a 16.13 (109) to 10.9 (69) victory over the still winless East Perth. It was the International Football Festival at HBF Arena on Saturday with a crowd of just over 6000 watching on as Subiaco ran over the top of West Perth to win 17.15 (117) to 11.7 (73). The West Australian Football League has reappointed successful 2015 State coach Darren Harris to lead the WAFL against Tasmania at Steel Blue Oval on June 11. Harris, who coached the WAFL to a 44-point victory over the SANFL at Lathlain Park in last year's Carlton Draught State Game, said he was excited to receive the opportunity again in 2016. “I really enjoyed the experience last year and jumped at the chance to be involved again,” he said.
