Thursday, February 11, 2016 - 4:00 PM - by Chris Pike
PERTH is leaving no stone unturned in trying to have its finals drought end at 18 seasons with the Demons putting together a supremely impressive summer that looks set to see them possess the best WAFL midfield in 2016. Perth has not played in a finals series since 1997 and has endured a particularly difficult past two seasons. Ever since Swans won the 2010 WAFL premiership in stunning style, Harding has taken over as coach of the black-and-whites from Brian Dawson and after his success with the colts program at the club, he has had a terrific job by banking on youth with recruiting being kept to a minimum. One of those senior players who was a premiership star and has only continued to get better every year since under Harding is Ryan Davis, and the 2015 Simpson Medallist was rewarded for his outstanding performance by being drafted to the Gold Coast Suns.
