Round 4 of the 2016 McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season gets underway on Saturday afternoon at 1:45pm with East Fremantle playing West Perth at ATOM Stadium. The Western Derby preview match kicks off later that afternoon at Bendigo Bank Stadium with Peel Thunder taking on East Perth. Footy Fundamentals is a structured AFL program for toddlers (2 years – 5 years), which encourages the development of fundamental movement skills in an AFL environment. Footy Fundamentals prepares kids for the future by helping to build fundamental movement skills such as running, hopping, catching, throwing and balancing. McDonald's WAFL Round 4 Preview

ROUND 4 of the 2016 McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season is split between two days this weekend with the Tigers, Demons, Sharks and Falcons shooting for their second wins of the year, the Lions to stay unbeaten and the Royals and Swans to get off the mark. The round gets underway on Saturday afternoon at 1.45pm with East Fremantle playing West Perth at ATOM Stadium. Then at 2.15pm on Saturday it will be a Western Derby preview at Bendigo Bank Stadium with Peel Thunder taking on East Perth. The West Australian Football League has welcomed a new radio broadcast partner for the remainder of the 2016 McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season, with HFM 107.3 embarking on broadcasting as of Round 4 this weekend.  HFM football producer Jack Crawshaw said HFM was passionate about bringing events to its local community and welcomed WAFL to its airwaves in 2016.  "It's a great to be able to call the footy on HFM," Crawshaw said.  Read More ...

BEN Saunders kicked five goals in a quarter, Clancy Wheeler and Aaron Zucconi celebrated their 100th games with wins and Peel Thunder took advantage of a struggling Swan Districts as part of Round 3 of the McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season. The round began on Friday night at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with South Fremantle remaining unbeaten downing the winless East Perth 16.13 (109) to 10.9 (69). On Saturday, another strong crowd of 6090 turned out as Subiaco beat West Perth as part of the International Football Festival at HBF Arena 17.15 (117) to 11.7 (73). Also on Saturday, Perth came from behind to defeat Claremont 14.11 (95) to 12.6 (78) at Lathlain Park and Peel Thunder kept Swan Districts winless with an 11.28 (94) to 6.6 (42) victory. State's top female players set for AFL Derby clash

WOMEN’S teams representing the Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles will play a curtain-raiser to the Carlton Draught Western Derby at Domain Stadium on Saturday April 9 as part of the 2016 AFL Female Exhibition Match Series. The 10-game series will be played across three rounds with matches also scheduled to be played in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. State Academy players will feature in Round One teams, while Round Two will feature the best players from around the country in State representative matches with a WA team set to play the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on June 5. SOUTH Fremantle and Subiaco both remain unbeaten after three rounds of the McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season with Perth getting on the board and Peel Thunder recording a second straight victory. The Round 3 action began on Friday night at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with South Fremantle improving to 3-0 with a 16.13 (109) to 10.9 (69) victory over the still winless East Perth. It was the International Football Festival at HBF Arena on Saturday with a crowd of just over 6000 watching on as Subiaco ran over the top of West Perth to win 17.15 (117) to 11.7 (73). Also on Saturday, Perth came from behind to record its first win of 2016 beating Claremont 14.11 (95) to 12.6 (78) at Lathlain Park. At Steel Blue Oval, Peel Thunder continued Swan Districts' horror start to 2016 with the Thunder running out 11.28 (94) to 6.6 (42) winners. Read More ...
