Round by Round 2015 WAFL Draw

The 2015 WAFL season will commence with a full round of fixtures on the weekend of March 21, two weeks prior to the AFL season. 2015 State Female Coaches Announced

Experienced coach Michelle Cowan has been appointed to lead Western Australia's State Women’s team in 2015 after successfully leading the State U18 Youth Girls to a National Championship in 2014. Cowan, who helped create history when the Youth Girls beacme the first team ever to defeat Victoria at the Championships, was also involved in the 2014 AFL Women’s Exhibition match, where she lead Melbourne Football Club to victory against the Western Bulldogs. THE West Australian Football Commission congratulates the nine WAFL players selected in the 2014 NAB AFL National Draft on the Gold Coast today, which included three first round selections. Four AFL rookies drafted from WA were also elevated to senior lists as part of the National Draft, including Charlie Cameron (Swan Districts/Adelaide Crows); Neville Jetta (Swan Districts/Melbourne), Kane Mitchell (Claremont/Port Adelaide) and Callum Sinclair (Subiaco/West Coast). The West Australian Football Commission has appointed Andrew Lockyer as WAFL State 18s coach and reappointed John Hancock as WAFL State 16s coach for the 2015 NAB AFL National Championships. WA Football Commission nominees endorsed

The nominees for Commissioners of the West Australian Football Commission were endorsed on Monday, November 24, at a meeting of the Nominee Members of the WAFC (WA AFL and WAFL Clubs). Commissioners Brett Fullarton and Larry Kickett were both reappointed for terms of three years and Grant Dorrington was appointed for his first term of three years to replace outgoing Commissioner Peter Coleman, who retires on 31 December 2014. Lions District launches new program for Aboriginal youth
