More than 100 females are expected to trial for this year's Female State 15s National Carnival to be held in Queensland in late July.
The carnival will see WA take on teams from Victoria, South Australia, Australian Capital Territoty, New South Wales, Queensland and for the first time Tasmania.
WA claimed the National Championship title twice since its inception in 2009 and has become the first State Team to ever defeat Victoria at a national carnival.
Team trials kick off on Friday April 1 in Northam and Bunbury and, at All Saints' College in Bull Creek on Saturday April 2.
Head Coach Oliver Beath said the trials are open to females of all skill levels, even those who haven't played the sport.
"It's about giving all females the opportunity to test themselves and see where they stand up against the best players in the state," Mr Beath said.
"Every year there are two or three surprise packets who make our final squad who have not come from a traditional footballing background and we have taken talented 13 and 14 year old in previous seasons, so age is no barrier."
Females from as far south as Albany, as far North as Broome and everywhere in between have made the travelling squad over the past seven years.
WAFC Female Talent Manager Alison Moore is encouraging all girls who are enthusiatic about the game to come along to the trials.
"Last year we had over 100 girls trial for the team and with the National Women's League not far away we're hoping this number will continue to climb," Ms Moore said.
