State Draft Combine results put WAFL players in spotlightTuesday, October 20, 2015 - 10:53 AM

A GROUP of 23 top WAFL players were put through their paces when the AFL State Draft Combine was held at HBF Arena on Saturday, October 17.

There were some impressive individual performances, including a record-equalling leap from Claremont's Shane McAdam, 20, who matched Nic Naitanui's 102cm running vertical jump record from 2008.

McAdam also finished with a 2.89 second result in the 20m sprint.

Claremont colts premiership player David Ehlers recorded a 96cm leap in the running vertical jump and also recorded an impressive 7.95 result in the agility test.

Other players to impress included Marcus Adams from West Perth with a 2.90 second 20m sprint, Subiaco's Sam Menegola with a level 14.13 in the beep test, and Nathan Broad from Swan Districts with a 24.04 second result in the repeat 30m sprints.

Shane Yarran, Francis Watson and Bailey Rogers were unable to complete all physical testing due to injury.
