Osborne Park Amateur Football Club will be pulling on specially designed blue jumpers this weekend to help raise funds and awareness for Beyondblue.
Club President Nathan Barnett said it was an important cause for the club as there were players who'd been directly affected by suicide.
"This is certainly a big day for the club and provides not only awareness, support and funding for Beyondblue, but provides a very special community atmosphere for anyone who attends," he said.
"The day will consist of raffles to raise money for Beyondblue and various prizes, including the best 'blue themed' dressed person, with all money raised going to Beyondblue. The boys will also be donning their specially designed Beyondblue guernsey on the field."
WHEN - Saturday 8th of August, 12pm to late
WHERE - Robinson Reserve, Royal St, Tuart Hill
Barnett said he hoped the community would also support the cause.
"We'd love people to come down and show their support as the club transforms its colours to blue to proudly support Beyondblue.
"Most people in Australia have some experience with anxiety and depression, whether it is personal or via family, friends or work colleagues. Beyondblue’s work is aimed at achieving an Australian community that understands anxiety and depression, empowering every person in Australia, at any life-stage, to seek help.
"Beyondblue raises awareness, reduces stigma and ensures people have access to the information they need to support recovery, management and resilience."
