The port city is preparing for its annual WAFL blockbuster, with East Fremantle and South Fremantle set to compete in the 370th original derby on Monday, June 1 at ATOM Stadium, East Fremantle.
This great rivalry stretches back to Round 1, 1900, when East Fremantle defeated South Fremantle by 26 points at Fremantle Oval. Since then East Fremantle have won 197 derbies and South Fremantle have won 167, with 4 matches resulting in a draw.
The last 9 derbies have been won by the away team and the Sharks will be looking to break this recent record at ATOM Stadium on Monday, June 1.
Both clubs are encouraging everyone to wear their team colours with pride and be part of the historic rivalry that divides Fremantle.

Entertainment
Musician and songwriter Dave Warner ‘The Suburban Boy’ will be performing in the Main Hall after the League game with his band Dicemen. Originally from Perth, Dave formed his punk band Pus back in the early 1970s. From there Dave moved on to Suburban Rock with his band From The Suburbs who were a major success in Australia as a pub band playing with the likes of Midnight Oil and INXS. In 1997, Dave released the single ‘East Fremantle is Football’ to celebrate the centenary of the Club and in the same year he released his debut novel City of Light. Dave will also be launching his latest book, and copies can be purchased and signed by the man himself on the night.
Sam Roberts-Smith, courtesy of the West Australian Opera and Channel 7, will perform the National Anthem before the match.
Jayda D'Agostino will perform in the President's Lunch at 12:30pm.
Fun for the Family
The day will be fun for the whole family with bouncy castles, face painting, balloon twisting and inflatable boxing all in the free kid’s zone on the hill.
Bring a footy or buy one from the merch store (located at the front of the main grandstand) and have a kick around on the oval during all the breaks and after the game.

Charity
The Sharks are once again supporting Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation and helping to raise awareness of organ donation.
One organ and tissue donor can transform the lives of 10 or more people. Around 1,500 people are on Australian organ transplant waiting lists at any time.
The players representing East & South Fremantle, in all three grades, will wear rainbow laces to highlight organ donation. Allan Turner, the CEO of the Foundation and Zaidee's dad, will attend the game and present the Zaidee's Medal for the best on ground at the end of the game.
More info on organ donation can be found at www.zaidees.org or http://www.donatelife.gov.au
