THE Easter Round of WAFL action saw East Perth, South Fremantle, Peel Thunder and West Perth all record impressive comprehensive victories across Good Friday and Saturday afternoon.

The action began on Good Friday with East Perth handing Subiaco its first loss of the 2015 season in a rematch of last year's grand final, with the Royals running out 17.13 (115) to 7.9 (51) victors at Medibank Stadium.

The other Good Friday fixture took place in the evening at Fremantle Oval with South Fremantle continuing its unbeaten start to the season beating Claremont 12.19 (91) to 8.5 (53).

Then on Saturday afternoon, Peel Thunder beat East Fremantle 15.14 (104) to 6.13 (49) at Bendigo Bank Stadium in captain Brendon Jones' 200th WAFL match.

And finally, West Perth celebrated Andrew Strijk's 150th appearance with a 22.9 (141) to 9.8 (62) victory at HBF Arena.

The results mean that South Fremantle (3-0) sits atop the ladder as the only unbeaten team with West Perth (2-1), Subiaco (2-1), East Perth (2-1) and Swan Districts (1-1) rounding out the top five.

Peel Thunder (1-1) and East Fremantle (1-2) are just outside while Claremont (0-2) and Perth (0-3) are yet to taste victory in 2015.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
While Michael Lourey kicked six goals for West Perth, Ashton Hams was best on ground for South Fremantle and a host of Peel Thunder players had huge afternoons, it's hard to go past East Perth's Brant Colledge as the best performer of the weekend.

The West Coast Eagles midfielder put in a best on ground display for the Royals in their Good Friday win over Subiaco finishing with 36 possessions, nine marks and three goals.

The 20-year-old is in his third year on West Coast's list and had a big pre-season following a disappointing grand final display for East Perth last year.

Following a slow start in Round 1 against East Fremantle, he was terrific with 30 touches and a goal against Swan Districts, and then his best on ground showing on Good Friday should have him in line for an AFL call up for the Eagles this Friday against Carlton at Domain Stadium.

THE SHINING LIGHTS
Brant Colledge delivered a best on ground display for East Perth finishing with 36 possessions, eight tackles, four inside 50s and three goals while his West Coast teammate Murray Newman kicked four goals from 17 disposals after shrugging off an ankle complaint from last week.

Josh Hill and Simon Tunbridge also kicked two goals apiece for the Royals.

Co-captain Brendan Lee made his first appearance of the season and was tremendous with 26 possessions, five tackles, three inside 50s and a goal.

Fraser McInnes stepped up in the absence of ruckman Paul Johnson to deliver one of the best performances of his career with 22 possessions, six marks, 32 hit outs and a goal.

Mitchell Fraser also racked up 27 disposals for the Royals, Freddie Clutterbuck 26, Jamie Bennell 25, Liam Duggan 23, Steven Payne 22, Nathan Blee 21, Paddy Brophy 20, Craig Wulff 19, Kyle Anderson 18 and Julian Ameduri 18.

Shane Yarran kicked another three goals for Subiaco to go with 12 possessions and five tackles but he did find himself on report for a high hit on Will Schofield.

Leigh Kitchin again worked hard for Subiaco in the midfield to finish with a team-high 21 possessions while Lachlan Delahunty had 20 disposals, Kyal Horsley 19, Chris Phelan 19 and James Garcia 16.

Clancy Wheeler worked hard in the ruck and up forward to finish with 14 touches, six marks, 23 hit outs and seven entries inside the forward 50.

Ben Saunders, Ashton Hams, James Sellar and Cory Dell'Olio all kicked two goals apiece for the Bulldogs with Dell'Olio playing his first game with South Fremantle since the 2011 first semi-final loss to Subiaco after spending the last three years with Essendon.

Ashton Hams came back into the Bulldogs team after missing the previous week's win over Perth and along with his two goals, he finished with 31 possessions and five inside-50 entries.

Jarrod Parry also played his first game of the season and worked hard for 23 disposals and five tackles while Chris Luff made his South Fremantle debut after crossing from Peel and did well limiting the influence of Kepler Bradley up forward for Claremont.

South Fremantle's defence was outstanding with Adam McIntosh holding Ian Richardson goalless, Dylan Ross keeping Haydn Busher and Brandon Franz scoreless and then Marlon Pickett putting in a tremendous performance as an attacking defender with 25 possessions.

Brock Higgins worked tirelessly in the ruck for the Bulldogs up against Mitch Andrews and Bradley, and finished with 20 possessions, 22 hit outs and five inside 50s.

Brendan Verrier racked up 28 possessions for South Fremantle, Haiden Schloithe 24, Ryan Cook 22, Kyle Hams 21, Shaun Bewick 20, Tim Kelly 19 and Steven Verrier 18.

Shane McAdam kicked three goals for Claremont but had a terrific battle with Adam Guglielmana with Jack Bradshaw also chipping in with two majors.

Tom Ledger worked hard for Claremont finishing with a team-high 25 possessions with Ryan Neates racking up 22 touches, Maximillian Bentley 22, John Williams 21 and Keifer Yu 18 to go with five tackles, three inside 50s and a goal.

Perth did have some players who put in good defensive performances with Kieran Hug limiting Shane Nelson to 20 possessions, Jacob Payne keeping Andrew Strijk quiet for three quarters and David Johnson keeping Matt Fowler goalless for three quarters.

However, Strijk still finished with 18 possessions and two goals in his 150th WAFL match to earn West Perth life membership while Fowler bobbed up for two final quarter goals, and then the Falcons had a host of other strong contributors.

Michael Lourey was outstanding as a key forward kicking six goals in just his third WAFL match after being recruited from the VFL. He kicked his six goals from 11 possessions and seven marks.

The bonus of Lourey holding down the key forward post was that Marcus Adams and Nick Rodda could do the same at the defensive end, and they both had strong games as well not giving Perth's talls a sniff.

On top of Strijk and Fowler chipping in with two goals, Matt Johnson and Kody Manning kicked two goals while Manning was outstanding finishing with 20 possessions and six tackles.

Sandover Medallist Aaron Black racked up 31 possessions while Rohan Kerr had 27 and WAFL debutant Aidan Lynch 25 who is coming off winning the Prendergast Medal as the best player in the reserves in 2014.

Jay van Berlo also picked up 21 disposals and ruckman Chris Keunen 18 to go with five marks, 50 hit outs and a goal.

Perth lost captain Dene White, Mitch Morton, Jarryd Morton and Chance Bateman from its team that lost to South Fremantle by 10 points last week, and struggled to keep up with the Falcons as a result.

Aidan Tropiano did all he could in the midfield racking up 36 possessions and laying seven tackles with Liam McKenna gathering 25 disposals, Daniel O'Sullivan 19 and Michael Sinclair 18.

Callum Collard kicked three in his first game of the season and from 14 possessions.

Matt Taberner continued the form he showed in the NAB Challenge for Fremantle with an impressive performance delivering four goals from 14 possessions and seven marks for Peel.

Lachie Weller was also outstanding for the Thunder with 22 possessions and three goals with Leroy Jetta and Hayden Crozier both kicking two goals apiece.

Jacob Ballard again led the way for Peel picking up 26 disposals while Tendai Mzungu returned from a hamstring injury gathering 25 disposals.

Max Duffy also finished with 26 touches, Ed Langdon 22, Brayden Lawler 20, Brady Grey 19 and captain Jones 19 in his 200th WAFL match.

Jonathon Griffin dominated in the ruck as well with 14 possessions, seven marks, 35 hit outs and six inside-50 entries.

Jamie McNamara racked up 30 possessions for East Fremantle in his best individual performance of the season while Sean Henson gathered 23 disposals, Liam Anthony 22, Bradd Dalziell 21 and captain Rory O'Brien 19 up against his former side.

RESERVES STANDOUTS
Subiaco's reserves remained unbeaten to start the new season recording a 12.9 (81) to 9.11 (65) win over East Perth at Medibank Stadium on Good Friday.

Hayden Kennedy was the star for Subiaco with 31 possessions while Max Walters and Dylan Clarke booted two goals each.

Craig Hoskins gathered 22 possessions, Joel Ashman 21, Simon Moore 21, Will Fetherstonhaugh 21, Ray Daniels 19 and Mitch McPhee 18.

Tom Shanahan, Blake Riley, Damian Lee and Shayne Hille all kicked two goals apiece for East Perth with Lee racking up 35 possessions to go with 10 tackles, 10 marks and four inside-50 entries.

Marty Zambotto also picked up 25 touches for the Royals, Mitch Howlett 23, Shanahan 23, Hille 19 and Brandon Hughes 18.

South Fremantle's reserves also recorded a Good Friday victory beating Claremont 14.8 (92) to 10.6 (66) at Fremantle Oval.

Claremont was leading by nine points at quarter-time, seven at half-time and then scores were all tied up at three quarter-time, but South Fremantle then kicked five goals to one in the final quarter to win by 26 points.

John Sgherza was the star for the Bulldogs kicking seven goals from his 12 kicks with Ben Sokol also kicking three majors from 18 possessions and nine marks.

Toby Bairstow racked up 30 possessions for South Fremantle, Anthony Collica 27, Tim Stewart 24, Jacob Dragovich 20, Bailey Matera 18 and Adam Carter 17. Josh Branchi did well in the ruck as well with 15 touches and 28 hit outs.

There was plenty to like in the reserves for Claremont despite the result with Tom Swift racking up 21 possessions and kicking a goal, Anton Hamp gathering 19 disposals to go with seven marks and a goal and Beau Maister booting two majors.

Sam Bevan also kicked two goals for the Tigers while Ryan Lim picked up 24 possessions, Isaac Baum 22, Steven Edwards 21 and Toby Plant 19. Darcy Cameron did well in the ruck finishing with 18 possessions, seven marks, 31 hit outs and a goal.

West Perth's reserves couldn’t quite come back to beat Perth, though, with the Demons ending up winning 13.15 (93) to 11.9 (75).

Perth led by 27 points at quarter-time, 19 points at half-time and then 25 at three quarter-time before West Perth kicked 3.5 in the final quarter but still came up 18 points short.

Kane Ransted and Sean Holland kicked three goals apiece for Perth with Brennan Stack adding two majors.

Michael Florio racked up 24 possessions, Ransted 22, Rowan Garlett 20 and Mitchell Browne 19. Ruckman Blake Borrett was terrific with 20 touches, six marks and 27 hit outs.

Tyson Moulton and Hayden Yarran kicked three goals apiece for West Perth with Trent Manzone racking up 20 possessions, Broderick Walton 20, Blake Wilhelm 20, Marc Crisp 18 and Ray Bartholomew 18.

Corey Chalmers led the way for the Falcons finishing the game with 21 disposals, seven inside-50 entries and four tackles.

East Fremantle's reserves recorded a 15.11 (101) to 8.12 (60) win over Peel at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Saturday with Adrian Ricciardello and Tom Bowey kicked three goals each, and Tom Hooker two to go with his 25 possessions.

Barry Barone racked up 25 disposals for the Sharks, Matt Baseden 22, Miles Franklin 20 and Julian Locantro 19.

Cruize Garlett was again a strong contributor in Peel's reserves with 29 possessions and six inside-50 entries while Brennan Gillam picked up 22 disposals, Eddie Dann 21, Ben Hancock 19 and Harrison Tyler 19.

Garrick McLaughlin, Jarrod Bowman and Stephen Kane all kicked two goals each for Peel with Craig Moller finishing with 14 disposals and 31 hit outs in the ruck.

COLTS RISING STARS
The Good Friday action began at Medibank Stadium in the morning with East Perth recording a 13.11 (89) to 10.8 (68) victory over Subiaco.

Tarir Bayok was terrific for East Perth with 22 possessions, nine marks and three goals with Ben Miller also finishing with 27 disposals and two goals. Alex Di Placido added two majors as well with Mitchell Dobson also kicking two.

Stanley Wright picked up 29 possessions, Kane Hadden 27, Tom Gorter 20, Connor De Campo 19 and Sam Powell-Pepper 17.

Justin Woodley booted five goals for Subiaco with Josh Hatch gathering 29 disposals, Ethan Burnett 27 and ruckman Josh Chapman 14 to go with 16 hit outs.

And the remarkable recent history in the colts between South Fremantle and Claremont continued to start off the day at Fremantle Oval on Good Friday with the Tigers ending up winning a thriller, 9.10 (64) to 9.8 (62).

Ryan Murphy kicked two goals for Claremont with Bailey Rogers racking up 24 disposals, Declan Mountford 24, Matt Guelfi 20, Jake Waterman 19, Tom Gajewski 17 and Aden Wilkins 17.

Brandon Colbung, Miles Barritt and Jesse Mudge all kicked two goals apiece for the Bulldogs with Barritt gathering 22 possessions, Brandon Donaldson 19, Abel Brown 19 and Daniel Burke 19.

West Perth's colts came back from trailing at three quarter-time to end up beating Perth 12.8 (80) to 10.7 (67) on Saturday at HBF Arena.

The Demons led the Falcons by 14 points at half-time and still two points at three quarter-time, but West Perth kicked four goals to two in the last term to end up winning.

Mitch Antonio was the star for the Falcons with seven goals from 15 possessions and five marks.

Marshall Jones kicked three goals for Perth with Cody Ninyette and adding two. Kayle Phillips gathered 23 possessions, Ben Cable 20, Chapman Jones 20 and Zac Fisher 16.

East Fremantle's reserves got its day on Saturday off to a good start with a 13.7 (85) to 6.7 (43) victory over Peel at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

Cameron Zurhaar kicked four goals from eight kicks for the Sharks while Sam Lewis also kicked four majors and Josh Dean two. Tom Marshall gathered 22 possessions for East Fremantle, James Harrold 21, Kyle Baskerville 21, Peter Delaney 21, Jesse Adamini 20, Stellan Grljusich 19 and Tom Bennett 18.

Karl Collard and Nicholas Merritt finished with two goals each for the Thunder with Dylan Winton racking up 27 possessions, Keegan Power 27, Hayden Davis 24, Josh Schoenfeld 22, Travis Naughton 22, Michael Humble 20 and Michael Curnow 20.
