The 2015 WAFL State Game has been confirmed against South Australia at Lathlain Park on Saturday, May 23.
WAFC General Manager Pathways and Competitions Steve Hargrave said The West Australian Football Commission was looking forward to an exciting game.
“We are anticipating another great clash with one of our traditional rivals after splitting wins in the past two contests – the WAFL by a solitary point at Leederville in 2009 and the SANFL by just 14 points at Glenelg in 2012," Hargrave said.
“Lathlain Park is a central venue which remarkably, has never previously hosted a WAFL State Game. We believe it will be a fantastic opportunity for the Perth Football Club to host its first ever State Game before redevelopment of the ground is undertaken in the next few years.
“The ample parking, accessibility and great viewing for spectators at this traditional WAFL venue make it an ideal location for the State Game on May 23, 2015.
“Interstate contests are an integral part of football development and provide a fantastic opportunity for not only players, but coaches, umpires and officials to achieve State representation,” he said.
