Perth and South Fremantle will play for the Cable-Michael Cup at Lathlain Park in Round 16 of the WAFL this Saturday.
The Cable-Michael Cup has been named in honour of respective club legends Barry Cable and Stephen Michael and will also form part of NAIDOC Week celebrations in conjunction with the Department of Aboriginal Affairs.
Barry Cable will speak at the President’s Lunch, toss the coin and present the Cup to the winning captain after the game.
It will be the second time the Cup is up for grabs, with Perth successful in the inaugural game back in 2012.
The event will also celebrate Indigenous culture and highlight the outstanding contributions made by Indigenous players, coaches and volunteers to each club and the WAFL competition.
