Telstra has teamed up with AFL stars Chris Mayne and Marc LeCras in giving away thirty $5,000 grants through the new "Telstra Club Commitment" program, meaning a total of $150,000 will be invested into the game at a grassroots level to help support clubs across the state.
Club representatives from registered local Australian football clubs are encouraged to enter for the chance to win. Fans can show their support, and improve their club’s chances of winning, by uploading a photo of them supporting their club
West Coast Eagles star Mark LeCras credits the support of his own junior football club, Cervantes FC, as instrumental to the development his professional career and is encouraging all eligible clubs to apply for one of the thirty $5000 grants.
"Footy was always my biggest passion as a youngster and I have some really fond memories of playing at a junior level. It was here that I learnt about teamwork, hard work and dedication to the sport which has been my life and my career," said Mark.
If your club is yet to register, encourage your club representative to get involved and enter at telstraclubcommitment.com.au.
Applications will be judged on the creativity and merit of the answer, as well as the creative merit of the community support. Hurry and enter as the competition closes Friday 30th May 2014. Contact your District representative for your unique club code.
