Jacob Farrow
Club: West Perth
From: Joondalup-Kinross JFC
Position: Half-back/midfielder
Height: 189cm
Age: 18
Farrow is set to be the first West Aussie called out in the National Draft after earning an invitation to the opening round in Melbourne on Wednesday.
The West Perth young gun has bolted up the draft calculations following a breakout year which saw him named in the Under-18s All-Australian team and play three senior WAFL games.
Likened to Docker Hayden Young and Crow Jordan Dawson, Farrow is a versatile left-footer who can play both midfield and half-back.
Tylah Williams
Club: Swan Districts
From: Redcliffe JFC
Position: Small forward
Height: 175cm
Age: 18
The West Coast Next Generation Academy prospect is expected to land at the Eagles, but rival bids could come as high as the second round.
Williams has impressed at every level he’s played this season, with EGT WAFL Colts for Swan Districts to National Under-18s for Western Australia and even a couple of senior outings for West Coast’s WAFL side including a goal with his first kick.
He also blitzed the National Draft Combine to further cement his status as one of WA’s top prospects.
Sam Swadling
Club: West Perth
From: Whitford JFC
Position: Midfielder
Height: 187cm
Age: 18
Swadling is a serious ball magnet who racked up around 35 disposals per game in the EGT WAFL Colts this season for West Perth.
He’s achieved a lot in a breakout year in 2025, earning Under-18s All-Australian selection and getting a decent run in the Falcons’ senior side.
Remarkably, the talented midfielder won the Falcons’ colts fairest-and-best award from just seven home-and-away appearances, in a sign of his dominance.
Fred Rodriguez
Club: South Fremantle
From: Fremantle City Dockers
Position: Midfielder
Height: 184cm
Age: 18
Rodriguez has been such a consistent contributor at every level in 2025, including winning the WA Under-18s MVP as captain.
The smooth-moving midfielder broke through for a senior WAFL debut in the opening round of the season for the eventual premiers South Fremantle, and finished with a gallant colts grand final performance in a losing cause at Optus Stadium.
He averaged more than 25 possessions 5.5 tackles and a goal per game for the Bulldogs colts to put his name in lights for the draft.
Leon Kickett
Club: Swan Districts
From: South Bunbury
Position: Small forward
Height: 172cm
Age: 18
‘Neon Leon’ is shaping up as the draft bolter of the WA contingent following an eye-catching campaign.
The Bunbury product has excelled since moving to Perth to further his footy career, a move which has paid dividends.
The speedy small forward starred for Swan Districts colts before getting a taste of senior footy and certainly didn’t look out of place.
Kickett went from not getting an invitation to any draft combine to featuring in the AFL National Draft Combine in Melbourne, where he impressed in the 20m sprint and vertical jumps.
Cody Curtin
Club: Claremont
From: West Coast JFC
Position: Key forward/defender
Height: 200cm
Age: 18
The younger brother of Adelaide Crow Daniel Curtin showed he can play a variety of positions including key forward, key back and even pinch-hitting in the ruck.
The 200cm talent was named vice-captain of WA’s under-18s this year and finished the season as a two-time premiership player for Claremont colts, booting six majors in the grand final for a total of 32.9 in nine appearances.
Charlie Banfield
Club: Claremont
From: Swanbourne JFC
Position: Midfielder
Height: 191cm
Age: 18
Banfield couldn’t have done much more to lead Claremont to another colts premiership this season.
The son of dual West Coast premiership player Drew won the Mel Whinnen Medal as best-afield in the Tigers’ upset grand final victory over South Fremantle with 28 disposals, five marks, four tackles and two goals.
It capped off a massive September campaign for the Eagles father-son prospect, who averaged nearly 27 disposals and a goal per game.
He also featured for West Coast’s WAFL side twice and impressed at the WA State Combine, dominating the 2km time trial with a blistering time of 6:08.
Koby Evans
Club: Perth
From: Kenwick JFC
Position: Midfielder
Height: 187cm
Age: 18
Evans is shaping up as a potential bargain for West Coast, who have first dibs at the Demons midfielder through their Next Generation Academy.
The 18-year-old has shown glimpses of his enormous potential amid a frustrating season which has been hampered by back and foot issues.
The AFL Academy member was ruled out of the National Under-18s Championship due to injury but bounced back to earn a league debut at Perth after just one game back in the colts.
But just two games into his senior stint, Evans suffered a season-ending syndesmosis injury which also ruled him out of the National Draft Combine testing.
Toby Whan
Club: South Fremantle
From: Roleystone JFC
Position: Midfielder
Height: 184cm
Age: 18
Who could forget Toby Whan’s astonishing 41-disposal, four-goal performance for South Fremantle colts in Round 18?
It was one of many massive games from the Docker NGA talent on the way to winning the prestigious Jack Clarke Medal as the EGT WAFL Colts’ fairest-and-best player.
He also took out the Bulldogs’ colts MVP honour after averaging more than 29 disposals across the home-and-away season.
Whan also showed plenty at National Under-18s level, including a starring role in the carnival-opening victory over Vic Country.
Unfortunately, a shoulder injury during Souths’ grand final loss to Claremont ended his season abruptly and limited his testing at the combine.
He still managed to blitz the 2km time trial with a time of 6:11.
Wes Walley
Club: Subiaco
From: Warwick-Greenwood JFC
Position: Small forward
Height: 181cm
Age: 17
The West Coast Next Generation Academy product played through a shoulder issue this season but still managed to break through for a couple of senior WAFL games for Subiaco.
The livewire forward averaged 15 disposals in eight colts appearances this season to go with nine goals.
He also featured for the State 18s and AFL Academy during the year.
Ryda Luke
Club: South Fremantle
From: Mundijong Centrals JFC
Position: Forward
Height: 186cm
Age: 18
The medium-sized forward burst onto the scene with a remarkable eight-goal half for South Fremantle colts earlier in the season.
He finished with 21 goals in 11 colts appearances and also lined up for WA’s under-18s after recovering from a back injury.
Part of Fremantle’s Next Generation Academy, Luke’s likely destination is the Dockers.
Blake Kelly
Club: Swan Districts
From: Caversham
Position: Midfielder
Height: 183cm
Age: 18
Kelly is a hard-working and consistent midfielder who was part of the State 18s leadership group.
Despite missing several games due to WA under-18s commitments, Kelly still managed to win Swan Districts’ colts fairest-and-best award.
He averaged 26.6 disposals and nearly six tackles per game at colts level before making his reserves debut during finals alongside his older brother Luke.
The 18-year-old earned a late invitation to the WA State Draft Combine in a boost to his draft hopes.
Hudson Walker
Club: Subiaco
From: Kingsley JFC
Position: Midfielder/small forward
Height: 179cm
Age: 18
Walker became an instant hero when he booted an after-the-siren winner against Vic Country to kick off WA’s National Under-18s Championship campaign at Mineral Resources Park.
Walker was a valuable contributor across the carnival as a pressure small forward, averaging 14 disposals and six tackles per game.
The hard-working midfielder/small forward broke through for a senior WAFL debut at Subiaco in the opening round and tallied four appearances for the season.
His best game at EGT WAFL Colts level came in Round 18, when he tallied a whopping 16 tackles to go with 23 disposals. Against West Perth.
His efforts across the year earned him a State Draft Combine invitation.
