WA Football advises that the Nomination Committee, with representatives of the WA Football Board, Fremantle Football Club, West Coast Eagles Football Club, WAFL Council of Presidents and the Community Football Advisory Council, met to consider the Expressions of Interest received for the upcoming Commissioner Elections and provided the WA Football Board with a shortlist of Recommended Candidates.  

A number of nominations from high quality candidates were received and the Nomination Committee faced a challenging task to arrive at its Recommended Candidates. The WA Football Board would like to acknowledge and thank all parties, whether successful in being selected as an Endorsed Candidate or not, for the interest they have shown in participating in the Commissioner Election Process.

The WA Football Board has endorsed the recommendations of the Nomination Committee and the Endorsed Candidates to be included on the postal Ballot Paper are as follows:

• Danielle Cattalini
• Claire O'Donnell
• Melanie Fisher
• Martina Crowley  

The Endorsed Candidates will be listed on the Ballot Paper in the order above which was determined by the Returning Officer via a random draw on 16 October 2025.

Friday 17 October 2025
Ballot Papers and Notice of General Meeting for the Football Forum distributed to Members and Affiliated Associations.

Thursday 30 October 2025
Opportunity for Members and Affiliated Associations to meet and interview Endorsed Candidates.

Friday 28 November 2025 – 5:00pm
Deadline for receipt of Postal Ballot Votes.

Thursday 4 December 2025 – 5:30pm (venue WA Football Office, Tuart Hill)
Football Forum – Nominee Members to vote by secret ballot on the appointment of the candidates who were successful in the postal vote. Vote counts to be undertaken by the Returning Officer and results announced at the meeting.
