Swan Districts pair Tylah Williams and Leon Kickett were among the standouts at the AFL National Draft Combine in Melbourne over the weekend.

Williams, a West Coast Next Generation Academy prospect who made his debut for the Eagles’ WAFL side during the season, impressed in the 20m sprint and agility test.

The silky-skilled finished second in the 20m sprint with a blistering time of 2.89 seconds.

He also had a top-five finish in the agility testing, clocking the fourth-fastest time of 7.87 seconds.

His Swan Districts teammate Kickett, who earned a late draft combine invitation on the back of a strong finish to the WAFL season, also posted a sub-three second 20m sprint time of 2.95 seconds.

Kickett and Williams also caught the eye in the vertical jump testing.

Kickett was sixth in the vertical jump with a 74cm effort, While Williams was eighth in the running vertical jump with an 88cm jump.

West Perth half-back Jacob Farrow had a top-10 finish in the agility, finishing seventh with a time of 8.03 seconds.

South Fremantle gun and State 18s skipper Fred Rodriguez showcased his elite engine in the 2km time trial, coming seventh with a 6:20 finish.

Subiaco’s Wes Walley (shoulder) and Perth utility Koby Evans (syndesmosis) also travelled to Melbourne for the national combine but couldn’t test due to injury.

Eight West Aussies were invited to test at the State Draft Combine in Perth this Sunday including Mel Whinnen Medal winner and Claremont colts premiership star Charlie Banfield and South Fremantle grand final pair Ryda Luke and Toby Whan.
