The Sharks remained in touch with the top five with an impressive win over Peel, keeping the home side scoreless until the final quarter.
While Chloe Wrigley and Ebony Dawson won plenty of the football for the Thunder, it was dominant displays from Noa McNaughton, Ashleigh Gomes, Amber Kinnane and Sarah Wielstra that led East Fremantle to the four points.
Angelique Raison and Chloe Reilly each booted three goals for the home side, who poured in 49 inside 50s.
Subiaco 8.7 (55) V Boorloo 2.0 (12)
Krstel Petrevski won a whopping 39 possessions, while fellow midfield stars Lisa Steane and Paige Shepard combined for 58 disposals in a big win for the Lions to reclaim top spot.
Chloe Shearing and Aimee Schmidt each booted three goals to stop Boorloo, who got superb production from Isabella Shannon as usual.
Addison Opalinski, returning from a stint with the Under 18’s state side, also impressed for the Demons.
Swan Districts 15.12 (102) V East Perth 0.1 (1)
Swans crushed the Royals in a dominant display in which Taylah Edwards strengthened her lead on the leading goalkicker’s title significantly.
Edwards kicked an equal career high six goals, while 20-year-old Summer Yarran booted a career high four majors.
Jaime Henry won 35 disposals whilst Naomi Baker, Megan Carron and Summer Ajduk also impressed.
South Fremantle 5.5 (35) v Claremont 3.5 (23)
The Bulldogs caused another upset having knocked off the two premiership favourites in back-to-back weeks.
If they hadn’t lost to the eight placed Demons prior to that they’d be within reach of the top two and outright third on the ladder.
Despite huge performances from Matilda Sergeant, Kate Orme, Mackenzie Webb, Jayme Harken and Sarah Viney, South Fremantle, led by Tahleah Mulder, Tara Stribley, Charlie Vandenberg and Liusaidh Gilchrist got the result.
With just four rounds remaining, South Fremantle have placed themselves in a position to steal third spot from Swan Districts, and the two sides will duke it out next weekend in a blockbuster Sunday afternoon battle.
