Champion Clubs Raise The Bar Across WATuesday, May 27, 2025 - 11:05 AM

WA Football congratulates a new wave of community clubs who have reached the Foundation Level of the Champion Club Program, an initiative supporting stronger governance and community engagement across the state.

Over 130 community football clubs have now registered to the program, demonstrating a shared commitment to building more inclusive, sustainable, and well-governed clubs.

Zac Binning, Club Development and Volunteers Specialist at WA Football, praised the collective effort.

“It’s wonderful to see so many clubs embracing the program and steadily progressing through the levels,” Binning said.

“We’re also starting to see clear trends from submissions, which help inform how we support clubs on their development journey.”

The Champion Club Program provides each club with a tailored portal to manage and submit key documents related to governance, planning, and community involvement.

WA Football works closely with each club to support their progress and address any outstanding requirements.

Recently, WA Football delivered a series of in-person sessions and statewide webinars to assist clubs in using the platform.

These initiatives will continue throughout the season as more clubs take part.
