WA football has celebrated the careers of 11 outstanding contributors to the game at the annual WAFL 200 Club presentation.

Six current players, four umpires and a premiership coach who also umpired make up the new members.

The inductees are Elliot Yeo, Dom Sheed, Nathan Wilson, James Aish, Patrick Cripps, Nathan Broad, Beau Wardman, Justin Power, Ben Laycock, Josh Garrett and Shaun Moylan.

WAFL 200 Club President George Michalczyk has welcomed the addition of the new footy high achievers.

“Many members of the WAFL 200 Club are WA Hall of Famers, and this event is a great opportunity to re-connect with others in the footy industry and celebrate their amazing achievements of playing or umpiring 200 games,” Michalczyk said.

“It’s important to recognise high achievers, particularly in the WAFL, because in years to come fewer players will reach 200 matches.” 

To qualify for the WAFL 200 Club, any player or umpire who takes part in 200 games qualifies for induction. 

WA players who enter the AFL at a young age must have played at least 25 games in the WAFL.
