NAIDOC Round in the WAFL means the annual Claremont-South Fremantle contest but it's a weekend full of fascinating contests including between Sullivan Logistics Stadium co-tenants with an East Perth defender reaching 100 games.

All five games across NAIDOC Round in the WAFL are going to be fascinating with each of them taking place on Saturday afternoon beginning with Peel Thunder against the West Coast Eagles.

That will take place at Lane Group Stadium and while it's the top placed Peel up against the bottom placed West Coast, it will be an intriguing match up with the AFL-listed players and both teams coming off defeats.

Next up is the annual NAIDOC Round match up for the Jimmy Melbourne Cup between Claremont and South Fremantle at Revo Fitness Stadium.

The two teams started the tradition of playing one another for NAIDOC Week back in 2007 and it continues this Saturday with the Tigers hunting a fifth straight victory while the Bulldogs are out to bounce back from a tight loss to East Perth.

Perth will then play host to East Fremantle at Mineral Resources Park with the Demons fresh off a drought breaking home win over West Perth and the reigning premier Sharks attempting to rebound from a defeat to Claremont to move back into the top five.

The fascinating contests continue at Pentanet Stadium with the 2022 premiers West Perth desperate to snap a five-game losing run but it will be anything but easy against the fourth placed Swan Districts now on their own five-match winning run.

Then there is the battle of the Sullivan Logistics Stadium co-tenants Subiaco and East Perth with the Lions looking to build on a win over Peel while the Royals could potentially grab top spot with a second straight victory.

East Perth defender Stan Wright will also be celebrating the 100th game of his WAFL career with the Royals, but is fully aware of the threat the Lions pose.

"It's going to be a really good battle between us and Subi. When we played them last time I think we just sort of got on top in the last quarter but it was a really intense game," Wright said.

"It's always the contested game with Subi and they're just so strong and disciplined through all lines so it's certainly going to be a tough game against them.

"There might be a bit of tricky weather too to enhance the contest even more but we're super excited for the weekend and get a winning streak going again."
