WEST Perth, East Perth, Perth and Swan Districts all recorded victories in Round 14 on Saturday afternoon to remain in second, third, fourth and fifth position on the WAFL ladder respectively.
Each game played on Saturday all had the chance to see plenty of changes to the ladder as the battle over the last three spots in the top-four intensifies, but in the end the top-ranked sides all ended up winning to mean that no positions changed by the end of the round.
There were two heart-stoppers with West Perth storming home to beat Subiaco 13.13 (91) to 13.12 (90) at Arena Joondalup while East Perth also came from behind to down East Fremantle 14.7 (91) to 13.10 (88) at Leederville's Medibank Stadium.
Swan Districts comfortably beat South Fremantle 20.18 (138) to 13.8 (86) at Fremantle Oval and Perth headed down to Mandurah's Bendigo Bank Stadium and defeated Peel Thunder 18.9 (117) to 9.13 (67).
The results mean that West Perth remains in second position on the ladder with an 8-4 record and three games behind top-of-the-table Claremont. East Perth (7-5) is third, Perth (6-5) fourth, Swan Districts (6-5) fifth, East Fremantle (5-7) sixth, Subiaco (5-7) seventh, Peel (3-9) eighth and South Fremantle (2-10) last.

There is also an incident between East Perth's Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls and East Fremantle's Jayden Schofield that threatened to spill out of control, but controversy aside and it was an outstanding contest between the two teams who played off in last year's first semi-final.
The Sharks led for most of the day with a 14-point advantage at quarter-time, nine at half-time and three at three quarter-time, but the Royals booted away early in the last term with three quick goals.
