It was a dramatic Round 9 in the WAFLW competition ahead of the break this coming weekend for the State Game which will see the WAFLW representative team take on the SANFLW at Optus Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
All four games took place on Saturday beginning with East Perth scoring its second, and best, ever WAFLW victory in its second season by beating South Fremantle 3.6 (24) to 2.8 (20) at Sullivan Logistics Stadium.
The Royals' first win was over the winless Peel Thunder, but Saturday's victory was against a Bulldogs team who came into the contest in hot form having won three straight matches.
