CLAREMONT is the last remaining undefeated team this WAFLW season after a strong win over West Perth to open Round 6 on Friday night with wins across the weekend for South Fremantle, East Fremantle and Swan Districts.

Coming out of the break over Easter and the opening month of the 2024 season, it was West Perth and Claremont the two undefeated teams in the WAFLW competition coming into their meeting on Friday night at Joondalup's Pentanet Stadium.

Claremont proved itself as the standout team right now this WAFLW season on the back of going through undefeated in 2023 as well before losing the grand final to East Fremantle after also winning the 2022 premiership.

The Tigers ended up beating the Falcons 9.4 (58) to 2.6 (18) on Friday night under lights with Adele Arnup kicking three goals and Eva O'Donnell two.

Kobi Nichols also gathered 23 possessions for Claremont, O'Donnell 21, Claire Ortlepp 20, Jayme Harken 19, Eva Campo 18 and Taylah Orzel 18.

West Perth's goals were kicked by Erin O'Brien and Emily Bennett with Taylor Ferguson racking up 26 touches, Bennett 19, Imahra Cameron 18 and Kaitlyn Roper 14.

Next up on Saturday afternoon and South Fremantle scored its second win of the season beating East Perth 7.12 (54) to 3.1 (19) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Shannyn Pomersbach, Poppy Stockwell and Tahleah Mulder all kicked two goals for South Fremantle with Liusaidh Gilchrist gathering 20 possessions, Tahleah Mulder 19, Madizen Wilkins 16, Caitlin Pears 16 and Kahra Sprlyan 16.

East Perth's goals were kicked by Lucy Greenwood, Lillian Ninyett and Courtney Lindgren with Chloe Sauzier gathering 21 touches, Sarah Madden 19 and Jess Verbrugge 18.

Reigning premiers East Fremantle put in a dominant showing on Sunday at Fremantle Community Bank Oval defeating Peel Thunder 9.12 (66) to 0.6 (6).

Chloe Reilly kicked three goals for the Sharks and Sharon Wong two to go with 21 possessions.

Ashleigh Gomes also racked up 27 disposals, Amber Kinnane 22, Philipa Seth 21 and Beth Beckett 16 while Laura Catherine had 18 hit outs to go with 11 touches, three tackles and a goal.

Evie Cowcher finished with 18 possessions for Peel, Holly Britton 17, Gracie Fenton 14, Savannah Ahearn 13, Ebony Bilcich 13 and Keely Hare 13.

Swan Districts improve to a 3-2 record and returned to the WAFLW top four with an 8.4 (52) to 4.10 (34) victory against Subiaco at Steel Blue Oval.

Taylah Edwards, Courtney Zappara and Lily Paterson kicked two goals each for Swan Districts with Paterson brilliant again finishing with 26 possessions.

Zappara also had 19 disposals, Hope Ugle-Hayward 16, Isabella Edgley 14 and Tamzyn Beros 13 to go with 10 hit outs.

Claudia Langley, Leila Rowe, Olivia Wolmarans and Maggie MacLachlan kicked a goal each for Subiaco with Krstel Petrevski finishing with 24 touches, Hayley Corlett 20 and Eva Popovsky 18.

Meanwhile, Round 6 in the Rogers Cup also got underway on Friday night with West Perth beating Claremont 2.8 (20) to 2.0 (12) at Pentanet Stadium.

Then on Saturday afternoon, South Fremantle beat East Perth 6.7 (43) to 1.5 (11) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval before on Sunday, Swan Districts defeated Perth 8.10 (58) to 3.3 (21) and East Fremantle downed Peel Thunder 9.10 (64) to 4.4 (28).
