WA Teenage Talent Headed for AFL State CombineMonday, August 21, 2023 - 3:59 PM
Six West Australians have been invited by the AFL to attend the 2023 AFL State Draft Combine at Curtin University later this year.
The AFL today released the names of 55 players who have the opportunity to attend the AFL State Draft Combines in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne in October.
The State Combines will be held following the national AFL Draft Combine, which will be held in Melbourne from October 6 to 8.
All states and territories will be represented across the three state Combines.
Selection to attend the AFL State Draft Combines was based on the number of nominations provided by AFL recruiters, with all 18 clubs submitting a list of preferred attendees.
Additional players may be added to the State Combines list ahead of each event.

AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan said: “The AFL State Draft Combines provide another opportunity for players from across Australia to showcase their athletic prowess to AFL clubs ahead of the 2023 AFL Draft.
“There is a long list of players who have participated in state Combines who have gone on to be recruited by AFL clubs and produced fantastic football careers.”

Round 1 of the 2023 AFL National Draft will be held on Monday, November 20 followed by the remaining rounds of the National Draft on Tuesday, November 21.
The Rookie Draft and Pre-Season Draft will take place on Wednesday, November 22.
