The WA football community is coming together in July for the third annual Women’s Coaching Month.
Prominent WA female coaches from AFLW and Community clubs will join industry experts at the 2023 Women’s Coaching Webinar.
Participants will be able to access a range of community resources for clubs and coaches to provide inclusive environments for women and girls as coaches and players.
The WA events begin on Sunday with the WA – Female Masterclass by the West Coast Eagles, followed by the WA – Female Masterclass at the Fremantle Dockers the following day.
Among those attending from WA include:
Community-Metro North Head Coach Mimma Rombola who has been a driving force in upskilling young female athletes, while also paving the way for female coaches to follow in her journey, and be apart of Aussie Rules Football.
Community-Metro South Assistant Coach Lily Cannell is a high school student who used to play with Roleystone Junior Football club before rupturing her ACL in 2021, as part of remaining connected to the sport Lily has taken to coaching.
Community-Metro Central Head Coach Richelle Romasz who is the Coaching Coordinator of Darlington Junior Football Club and s currently participating in the WA She Can Coach Program.
Regional-Kimberley Britanny Pitt-Lancaster
Participation in women’s and girl’s football has grown by 199% since the birth of AFLW, but there’s still work to be done in the coaching community.
