DEMONS ON TRACK FOR FLAG IN STUNNING DEBUT SEASONTuesday, November 29, 2022 - 3:06 PM - by Mark Readings

WA Wheelchair Football League side Perth FC heads into this weekend’s finals series as warm favourites to claim this year’s Premiership in the club's inaugural season.

The Demons enter the WAWFL22 finals as the top ranked team, having won seven of their eight league games.

The recruitment of Rob Petersen and Oscar Bird has been a huge boost for Perth as they prepare to play Swan Districts in Sunday’s Qualifying Final.

Swans welcome back Ben Moncrieff from injury as the competition stages a busy Super Sunday Finals Day this Sunday 4th December at the WAWFL Stadium, Arena 2, Mt Claremont.

Perth recruit Toby Anscombe has backed his team to win its first League Trophy since 1977.

Toby, who was part of the Swan Districts runner-up team in season 1, has paid tribute to the work ethic of the players.

“I really think we’re a big chance of winning the title this year.

This group of players has created a great the culture at the Perth FC and we’re seeing it pay dividends,” Anscombe said.

Anscombe recently returned from Victoria where he represented WA at the AFL Wheelchair Championship.

Last year’s champions East Perth FC will take on Subiaco FC in the elimination final on what will be a packed show court at Arena 2 this Sunday.
