The West Australian Football Commission congratulates the five local players chosen in today’s first round of the 2022 NAB AFL National Draft.
Reuben Ginbey, Jedd Busslinger, Elijah Hewett, Ed Allan and Darcy Jones have all found their way onto an AFL list.
Ginbey from the East Perth Football Club was selected at number nine by the West Coast Eagles.
Busslinger from East Perth Football Club was selected at number 13 by the Western Bulldogs.
Hewett from Swan Districts was selected at number 14 by the West Coast Eagles
Allan from Claremont was selected at number 19 by Collingwood.
Jones from Swan Districts was the final selection of the night at number 21 by Greater Western Sydney.
WAFC State Talent Manager, Adam Jones said he's excited to see what the future has in store for the draftees.
“These guys are all very talented players and I wish them every success as they join the AFL system and target a debut at the top level in the coming seasons,” Jones said.
