On a day of celebration for Integrated Football, High Wycombe and Kelmscott have been crowned 2022 Premiers at Kingsway Reserve.
After 10 years of chasing a flag and finishing runners-up on several occasions, High Wycombe claimed its maiden Peter Grosser Cup in the Perth Football League Life Without Barriers Integrated A Division Grand Final against Willetton.
The Bulldogs produced a superb final term to overrun Willetton, which went into the Grand Final as favourites.
In an outstanding display of Integrated Football, both sides had the chance to win the game before High Wycombe’s Ricky Morrisey kicked the match-winner in the dying minutes.
Willetton was gallant in defeat, but the teamwork of the Bulldogs provided a perfect send-off for retiring coaches Brett Hockley and David Sheedy.
Kelmscott won its first Perth Football League Life Without Barriers Integrated Competition with an outstanding win in the first Grand Final of the day at a rain-soaked Kingsway.
Kelmscott enjoyed a three-goal lead over Fremantle CBC at halftime and extended its lead in the third quarter, restricting their opponents to one point in the term while booting three goals six themselves to put the game beyond reach.
The final quarter was a celebration of Bulldogs footy, who went on to claim the title of B Division champions.
