The WAFL Match Review Panel has assessed the following incidents from Round 17 of the WAFL League competition.


1. Samuel STUBBS (Perth) was reported for striking during the Perth v Claremont game at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a reprimand with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.



2. Corey BYRNE (Perth) was charged with engaging in misconduct during the Perth v Claremont game at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as a low-level offence, however, given this was the player’s third low-level offence within a 12-month period, the penalty was upgraded to a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea.


 
3. Corey BYRNE (Perth) was charged with engaging in a melee during the Perth v Claremont game at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as a low-level offence, however, given this was the player’s fourth low-level offence within a 12-month period, the penalty was upgraded to a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea.



4. Ethan HANSEN (West Coast) was reported for engaging in rough conduct during the Swan Districts v West Coast game at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a reprimand with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, low impact, and high contact.



5. Dakota BALDWIN-WRIGHT (Perth) was reported for tripping during the Perth v Claremont game at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a reprimand with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, low impact and body contact.



6. Brandon MATERA (Subiaco) was reported for striking during the Perth v Claremont game at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a reprimand with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.



7. Anthony DAVIS (Claremont) was charged with engaging in a melee during the Perth v Claremont game at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday 13 August.

In summary, the above-mentioned has accepted a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea. 
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as a low-level offence, however, given this was the player’s fourth low-level offence within a 12-month period, the penalty was upgraded to a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea.

In summary the below players have accepted a reprimand with an early guilty plea. Based on the available evidence, the incidents were assessed as a low-level offence.
