The West Australian Football Commission is pleased to announce Claremont Football Club’s Revo Fitness Stadium has been selected as the venue for the 2022 WAFLW Grand Final.
The venue was selected following a Grand Final Tender Process across all clubs, with a strong consideration given to family-friendly activations, community promotion and match-day facilities.
The ground boasts great atmosphere, ample parking, access to public transport and is based in a metro, central location.
The WAFLW Grand Final will be held on Saturday, July 2 with Rogers Cup, Reserves and League competing for their respective premierships.
WAFC Executive Manager WAFL and Talent, Scott Baker, said there were multiple venues for selection.
“We were pleased with the interest to host the 2022 WAFLW grand final,” Baker said.
“It proves the WAFLW game is continuing to grow and improve, and people are becoming more and more interested in watching and attending games.”
Claremont Tigers' Chief Executive Officer Darcy Coffey said the Claremont Football Club are thrilled to support women’s football.
“The Claremont Football Club is really excited to host the 2022 WAFLW Grand Final and support the women’s footy pathway.”
“We can all see women’s footy has exploded in popularity, to be able to provide the facilities, resources and support for girls to maximise their potential in the sport is really rewarding,” Coffey said.
