Round 12 WAFLW PreviewFriday, May 6, 2022 - 12:27 PM - by Chris Pike

THERE is another three big matches in Round 12 of the WAFLW competition this weekend as the battle for finals positions heats up.

With East Fremantle trying to stay undefeated, Claremont and Swan Districts battling over second spot, and then South Fremantle and Peel Thunder fighting over fourth against different opponents, there's a lot to look forward to in the Round 12 action.

The first game of Round 12 takes place at midday on Saturday with Swan Districts hosting Claremont at Steel Blue Oval. Swans are currently third and the Tigers second at 7-2 so this result will determine if Claremont further consolidates second spot or if Swans heat up that race.

The only two teams to win WAFLW premierships then do battle on Saturday at 2pm with East Fremantle playing Peel Thunder at New Choice Homes Park. East Fremantle remains unbeaten after nine games while Peel is clinging to fourth position at 4-4.

The last game of the round takes place on Sunday at Joondalup's Pentanet Stadium with West Perth hosting South Fremantle. The Falcons are still hunting a first win in the WAFLW competition while the Bulldogs could stay right in the finals hunt with a victory.
