THE WAFLW competition for 2022 is back to normal this weekend with Swan Districts and East Fremantle opening proceedings on Saturday up against one another before two more matches on Sunday afternoon.
We are now past the halfway mark of the 2022 WAFLW season so the race for finals positions is heating up with a full round of fixtures again this weekend following just the one match over Easter back in Round 9.
That saw South Fremantle win consecutive games for the first time in their WAFLW history with the victory against West Perth and now the Bulldogs have the Round 10 bye while the other six teams are all in action.
The first game of Round 10 in the WAFLW competition takes place on Saturday at 11.40am with Swan Districts hosting East Fremantle at Bassendean's Steel Blue Oval.
Swans are looking to bounce back from a loss to Claremont while the Sharks are out to remain undefeated so far in 2022.
The other two Round 10 games take place on Sunday starting at Joondalup's Pentanet Stadium with West Perth hosting Peel Thunder. The Falcons are still hunting their first ever WAFLW win with the Thunder out to consolidate their position in the top four.
The last game of the round then takes place at Revo Fitness Stadium with Claremont hosting Subiaco with the Tigers aiming to maintain their second position while the Lions are trying to stay in touch of the top four.
