WE had a player kicking six goals, another booting five and a whole host of other standout performances right across the field in Round 6 of the 2022 WAFLW competition.
That meant that competition for spots once again in the WAFLW Team of the Week was fierce for Round 6 following the three matches that took place on Sunday afternoon.
The Round 6 WAFLW action began on Sunday at Joondalup's Provident Financial Oval with Subiaco returning to the winner's list beating West Perth 12.9 (81) to 2.1 (13).
Next up was the first Fremantle Derby of 2022 with East Fremantle maintaining their undefeated start to the season beating South Fremantle 7.10 (52) to 2.2 (14) on the back of five goals to one behind in the second half at New Choice Homes Park.
Last up was Claremont maintaining its hold on top spot in the WAFLW by beating reigning premiers Peel Thunder 11.6 (72) to 5.3 (33) at Claremont's Revo Fitness Stadium.
Those results mean that after Round 6, Claremont remains on top of the ladder with a 5-1 record thanks to their massive percentage. East Fremantle sits second with a perfect 5-0 record.
Swan Districts (3-2) and Subiaco (2-3) round out the top four ahead of Peel Thunder (2-3), South Fremantle (1-4) and West Perth (0-5).
It all leads to another fascinating round to come this weekend for Round 7 as well starting on Saturday with South Fremantle at home to Swan Districts. Then on Sunday, Peel Thunder takes on West Perth and Subiaco is at home to East Fremantle.

Each week of the WAFLW season during 2022, we will be selecting a Team of the Week as well, and here's how the side for Round 6 came together.
Subiaco produced a strong performance for their second win of the season beating West Perth on Sunday with Tarni Golisano earning a spot on the wing in the Team of the Week for her performance made up of 25 disposals, seven tackles and six inside-50 entries.
Hayley Corlett earns her position on the half-forward flank as well from the Lions after kicking three goals from 19 possessions, five marks, four entries inside the forward 50 and three tackles.
Tess Lyons produced another impressive showing in the ruck for Subiaco to claim that position once more in the Team of the Week. She ended up with 12 touches, 27 hit outs and four inside-50 entries, but it was her follow-up work after the ruck contests that were especially outstanding.
Madizen Wilkins also earns a spot in the on-ball brigade after her best performance of the season for Subiaco made up of 23 possessions, nine clearances, six inside-50 entries, four tackles and two marks.
Ellie Blackmore secured her position on the interchange too from the Lions on the back of a performance made up of 12 possessions, inside 50s and a stunning goal from 40m out in the challenging Joondalup conditions.
Not only did West Perth kick two goals for the first time in the WAFLW competition on Sunday, but they have now got their first player named to a Team of the Week as well.
Grace Betti has that honour after putting in a terrific all-round display for the Falcons against Subiaco finishing with 26 possessions, five tackles and four marks.
East Fremantle produced a strong second half for an impressive derby win on Sunday to be still yet to taste defeat in 2022 and once again Alex Williams was a rock in their defensive set up.
She was named to the Team of the Week for a fourth time already in five matches this season on the back of her pugnacious defensive work along with seven possessions and two tackles.
Hayley O'Donnell was named at centre half-back in the Team of the Week on the back of a game where she delivered nine kicks, six handpasses, four tackles and two inside-50 entries.
Then in attack, Julia Teakle had a day out like no other forward has had so far this WAFLW season. On a day where East Fremantle kicked seven goals as a team, Teakle kicked six of them in a stunning showing from 13 possessions, four tackles, three marks and two inside 50s.
Ashleigh Gomes was another standout performer for East Fremantle and on the back of that she's named to the midfield in the Team of the Week after producing 23 touches and six tackles.
Lauren Wakfer is one of the most exciting young players in the WAFLW competition and she battled hard in the middle for South Fremantle on Sunday. She earns a spot in the Team of the Week on the interchange following her 13 possessions, 18 hit outs, two marks and two tackles.
Noa McNaughton couldn’t quite break into that starting star-studded forward-line this week, but the emerging South Fremantle forward earns a spot on the bench after kicking a goal from her 10 possessions, four marks and four entries inside the forward while working hard all day.
The Claremont back-line was one of their great strengths in Sunday's win against Peel and as a result Sarah Garstone has been named on a half-back flank in the Team of the Week on the back of delivering a game made up of 10 possessions and three marks.
On the other half-back flank was her Tigers teammate Paige Hamilton-Smith. She played on Kate Bartlett in a fascinating battle keeping the young Thunder star to one goal while she had two disposals and two tackles herself.
Sasha Goranova led the Tigers from the front once more to earn the centre position in the Team of the Week on the back of her 24 touches, five tackles and three inside-50 entries.
Kate Orme continued her outstanding season as well on the wing for Claremont to take that spot in the Team of the Week again after producing 21 disposals, four marks, three inside 50s and two tackles.
Jacinta Valentini has been named at centre half-forward after she delivered 12 touches, five marks and three goals for Claremont. Then deeper in attack, Brooke Whyte kicked five from six kicks and four marks for the Tigers.
Peel Thunder might have lost to Claremont but captain Cassie Davidson did all she could with 17 possessions, four marks and two inside 50s to earn a spot in the back-line of the Team of the Week.
Ella Robers was a livewire in the forward-line for Peel with a goal to go with her 13 possessions, four tackles and three marks to be named at half-forward while Chloe Wrigley claimed a spot on the bench thanks to her 20 disposals, six tackles, four marks and four inside 50s.
