The Bulldogs and Lions will battle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Friday night under lights with bounce down set for 7.15pm and it should be a fascinating contest.
The Bulldogs severely challenged the Lions last year and went ever so close to getting that elusive first ever WAFLW win as well so they are two teams familiar with one another.
South Fremantle opened their third season in the WAFLW competition with that breakthrough win against West Perth in Round 1. The Bulldogs produced a competitive effort last week in Mandurah before losing to Peel Thunder by 31 points.
Subiaco is yet to win a game after two rounds of the WAFLW season but they were in control most of the way back in Round 1 against Peel before losing on the siren. The Lions then lost to Claremont by 45 points last Sunday at Leederville Oval.
South Fremantle showed plenty of good signs in that loss to Peel last Saturday night with Casey Byrne, Lauren Wafker and Noa McNaughton rewarded with places in the Team of the Week.

Swans and the Falcons do battle on Sunday afternoon at Bassendean's Steel Blue Oval and one of them will taste victory for the first time this season.
Swan Districts were the standout team in the WAFLW competition in 2021 losing just once in the home and away season to claim the minor premiership before getting all the way to the Grand Final only to lose to Peel Thunder.
However, it hasn’t been the start to the 2022 season they were hoping for with first up heavy losses to Claremont and East Fremantle. But the black-and-whites will be looking to bounce back on Sunday to get things back on track and to not become the first team to lose to West Perth.
West Perth made its first appearance in the WAFLW back in Round 1 but weren’t able to score in an eventual 74-point loss to South Fremantle. The Falcons had the bye last week and now return to action against Swan Districts on Sunday.
Despite the tough loss to East Fremantle last Sunday, Swan Districts still had Tyla Fitzgerald, Hope Ugle-Hayward, Sarah Wielstra and Biance Webb reaching the Team of the Week.
Swan Districts is chasing its first win still of 2022 and following last Sunday's loss to East Fremantle, Shanae Davison, Isabella Edgley, Jasmyn Fullgrabe, Bianca Webb and Sarah Wielstra go out of the team.

Two teams yet to taste defeat this WAFLW season put their undefeated records on the line this Sunday afternoon at Revo Fitness Stadium.
Claremont and East Fremantle have both made impressive starts to the new season over the first two rounds of the season and one of them will remain undefeated still come Sunday evening.
Claremont reached the finals last year before losing to Subiaco in the first semi-final, but the Tigers have opened the 2022 season on fire with big wins against Swan Districts and Subiaco to make a statement of their intentions this year.
East Fremantle missed finals in 2021 but were the inaugural premiers in the WAFLW competition on 2019 and are determined to put themselves back in the mix in 2022.
The Sharks had the bye in Round 1 of the new season but then started their campaign impressively with the hard earned seven-point win against Swan Districts at New Choice Homes Park.
Both teams had good wins last week and that saw Claremont represented in the Team of the Week by Matilda Sergeant, Kate Orme, Katherine Bennett and Ella Smith.
East Fremantle also had Alex Williams, Julia Teakle and Ashleigh Gomes named to the Team of the Week.
