The WAFLW season kicks off this weekend and can be viewed in style through a new streaming platform – Streamer, launching Friday.
In partnership with The West Australian, the newly launched Streamer platform will be accessible for Round 1 of the WAFLW, starting Saturday night with Peel taking on Subiaco.
All WAFLW League games will be streamed each week on the platform (streamer.com.au), providing supporters with first-class access to the competition.
One WAFLW League game of the round will be live streamed with commentary.
“The new standalone platform will be a great result for supporters, a service which will change how footy is watched,” West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) Chief Executive Michael Roberts said.
"The West Australian is proud to have led the way in livestreaming of West Australian sport over the past two years, and we’re really proud that the WAFLW is the first sport to embrace this concept, “ West Australian Newspapers editor in chief Anthony De Ceglie said.
For the first time for WAFLW, Champion Data will be used to compile statistical information for clubs, players and fans.
Champion Data live scores and player stats will be available for fans to access through wafl.com.au and through the WAFL app.
Download the WAFL app from the App Store or Play Store to receive notifications on upcoming games as they become available.
