Optus has committed to extending its partnership as naming rights partner of the Optus WAFL & Optus WAFLW for season 2021 – seeing the partnership between the WAFC and Optus progress to a fourth year.
WAFC CEO Gavin Taylor thanked Optus for their continued and highly valued support of WA Football.
“As partners, the WAFC and Optus have forged a strong relationship together with aligned values and objectives for the Optus WAFL and WAFLW competitions,” he said
“The support shown by Optus during the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, provided the WAFC and our WAFL & WAFLW Clubs the opportunity to re-commence each competition swiftly. This included broadcasting 14 fixtures on the Seven Network, culminating in Peel Thunder’s recent Optus WAFLW Premiership & South Fremantle's Optus WAFL Premiership yesterday.”
Optus Head of Marketing Melissa Hopkins said the company was pleased to be extending its commitment for an additional year.
“Football is an important part of WA communities and we see our partnership as a great way to connect with West Australians through a sport we all love,” Ms Hopkins said.
