THIS weekend is the final round in the 2020 Optus WAFL Women's Premiership Season and everything goes on the line with four teams all locked in the fight over the three available finals positions, and playing one another.

The stage could not possibly be any better set up for the final round in the 2020 WAFL Women's season with Subiaco guaranteed of the minor premiership for the second straight season.

South Fremantle is also anchored to bottom position in their inaugural WAFLW season and it works out nicely that the Lions and Bulldogs play one another in the last round.

They meet at Leederville Oval on Sunday afternoon leaving the other four teams to fight over the available three positions in the top four coming into a tantalising last round.

OPTUS WAFLW ROUND 6 WRAP

The round gets underway on Saturday afternoon with Peel Thunder playing Claremont at Mandurah's David Grays Arena.

Quite simply, the only way that Peel can end up playing finals in 2020 is by winning this game. Should the Thunder win, they will go all the way up to third position ahead of both Claremont and East Fremantle with the three teams all on 3-3 records coming into Round 7.

However, a loss for the Thunder and their hopes of rising from wooden spooners last year to finalists this year will be over and Claremont will be guaranteed of taking part in the finals.

Peel Thunder has made three changes for its team this week with Jaide Britton, C Davidson and Bella Mann coming in while Gracie Fenton, Bailey Molloy and Demi Okely go out.

Meanwhile at Claremont, they have made two changes with Tessa Doumanis and Paige Hamilton-Smith coming in at the expense of Adele Arnup and Bella Lewis.

What happens in that game on Saturday will have a significant bearing to what's at stake then on Sunday when East Fremantle plays Swan Districts at East Fremantle's New Choice Homes Park in a rematch from last year's Grand Final.

Swan Districts can't miss playing finals no matter their result on Sunday but a loss for the black-and-whites would potentially see them fall to as low as fourth position heading into the finals.

However, a win and Swan Districts is guaranteed of retaining second position.

By the time game starts on Sunday, East Fremantle will know if it needs to win or not to secure their place in the finals. If Peel wins on Saturday, then the Sharks must win this game against Swans or their season is over.

However, a win for the Sharks and last year's premiers could still finish as high as second position on the ladder depending on other results.

Emily Burton, Samara Pluschke, Madeline Ross and Stephanie Sparke have been added to East Fremantle's squad for the big game while Philippa Seth is the only out at this stage.

Chanel Jetta, Courtney Lindgren and Shannon Matthews have all been added to the extended squad so far for Swan Districts.
