In round 2 of the Simply Energy WAFL Colts competition, there were a host of great individual and team performances alike.

This round saw West Perth (8.16.64) defeat South Fremantle (5.6.36); Claremont (18.13.121) thump Swan Districts (5.4.34); Peel Thunder (11.6.72) beat East Fremantle (5.6.36); and East Perth (11.7.73) defeating Perth (7.9.51).

Subiaco were the team who had the bye this weekend.

WEST PERTH 8.16 (64) vs SOUTH FREMANTLE 5.6. (36)
West Perth continued its excellent start to the season with a 28-point victory over South Fremantle at Provident Financial Oval.

Michael Mallard (18 possessions, 30 hit-outs, 10 marks) and Heath Chapman (21 possessions, 6 marks) led the way for the Falcons.

Callum Johnson (28 possessions, 5 tackles, 4 inside 50s), Brady Alvaro (23 possessions, 6 inside 50s), and Lochlan Paton (21 possessions, 6 tackles) were prolific for West Perth.

Up forward, Corey Rundle (3 goals), Cooper Blackburn (2), Darcy Dixon (1), Logan Foley (1) and Jack De Marte (1) all hit the scoreboard.

For the Bulldogs, Jaxon Bellchambers was outstanding with 27 possessions, 12 marks and a goal.

Oscar Armstrong (28 possessions), Toby Dodds (28 possessions), Adam Correia (25 possessions) and Ben Pears (20 possessions) were all prolific.

Caden Turnbull (1 goal), Corey Stanley (1), Darryl Anderson (1) and Jermaine Pickett (1) were the goalkickers.

CLAREMONT 18.13 (121) vs SWAN DISTRICTS 5.4 (34)
Claremont continued its red hot start to the season with a convincing 87-point thumping over Swan Districts at Revo Fitness Stadium.

Jacquin Ciminata was dynamic for the Tigers with 19 possessions, 8 tackles, 5 marks and 4 goals.

Zac Mainwaring (2 goals), Jack Mentink (2), Sam Alvarez (2), Leith Fitzpatrick (2), Kobi Martin (2), Kieran Gowdie (2), Logan Guelfi (1) and Jacob Van Rooyen (1) all hit the scoreboard.

Logan Young (31 possessions, 6 inside 50s), Jack Avery (21 possessions), Alvarez (19 possessions) and Jake Willson (17 possessions, 6 tackles) were prolific in the midfield.

For the Swans, Ayden Cartwright (31 possessions, 8 marks, 5 tackles, 1 goal) and Zane Trew (31 possessions, 5 tackles, 3 inside 50s) competed hard all day.

EAST FREMANTLE 5.6. (36) vs PEEL THUNDER 11.6 (72)
Peel Thunder won their first game of 2020 with a solid 36-point victory over East Fremantle at New Choice Homes Park.

Isiah Winder led the way for the Thunder with 24 possessions, 6 tackles, 5 marks, 3 inside 50s and 2 goals.

Zachary Rankin (23 possessions, 6 tackles, 2 goals), Bodie Kitchingham (20 possessions), and David Yaccob (19 possessions) were all prolific for Peel.

Kobe Farmer (3 goals), Jon Ietto (1), Malachy Watson (1), Jack Walsh (1) and Zac Trigwell (1) each hit the scoreboard.

Finn Gorringe (24 possessions, 5 inside 50s, 4 marks, 2 tackles) led the way for the Sharks. 

Josh Browne (21 possessions), Jack Williams (18 possessions, 10 marks) and Bailey Hodge (17 possessions, 1 goal) also contributed strongly.

Jed Hagan, Ethan Paholski, Kane Fallows and Cooper Eves each kicked one goal.

PERTH DEMONS vs EAST PERTH
After having the bye last week, East Perth started its 2020 campaign with a strong 22-point victory over Perth at Mineral Resources Park.

Reigning Best and Fairest winner Adam Boules led the way for the Royals with 28 possessions, 8 tackles and 5 inside 50s.

Luke Lombardi (24 possessions), Blake Cann (19 possessions), Jy Thompson (16 possessions) and Jaylen Colegate (16 possessions) were prolific for East Perth.

Up forward, the goalkickers were Josh Clements (4 goals), Jayden Peak (2), Sokaa Soka (2), Jye Amiss (2) and Nic Barton (1).

Draft hopeful Nathan O’Driscoll led the way for the Demons with 25 possessions, 6 marks, 5 tackles and 5 inside 50s.

Conor McPartland (29 possessions, 7 inside 50s), Brett Hassett (19 possessions, 1 goal) and Jack Evans (18 possessions) won plenty of the football for the Demons.

Harry Quartermaine continued his excellent goalkicking form, kicking 3 goals against the Royals. Jayden Narrier, Zac Sanderson, and Harley Corbett each kicked one goal.
