I look forward to being out and about
Us younger kids we cheer and we shout!
While my big brothers get to train and play
I watch them and hope they kick a ball my way!
Maybe if I had my own BURLEY
They will let me join in ....SURELY????
-Tyler
Entry Winner two:
I'm looking forward to playing footy alongside my daughter this season. She is 21 and I'm 46. I can't wait to share the ups and downs of winning and losing with her as we both reconnect with our amazing game!
- Lisa Gilewski
Entry Winner three:
Being able to watch our oldest son who has autism play footy again. For him footy has always been his main daily motivation. He lives and breathes for footy. For him footy forms a part of his therapy and the routine it provides he has been lost without it.
- Elizabeth Bather
We know you’ve missed footy. We have too.
So to celebrate its highly anticipated return, the West Australian Football Commission is giving away three brand new Optus WAFL Burley Footballs to help you get even more excited about getting back into our great game.
All you need to do is tell us in 50 words or less what you are looking forward to most about reconnecting with footy in 2020. Whether it’s seeing your mates at training, slotting set shots, or just practising speccys at the park, we want you to share!
The best entries will go in the running to win one of three brand new Optus WAFL Burley Footballs.
Entries close at 5pm on Friday, July 31, 2020.

I'm most looking forward to being able to go out on the school oval at lunchtime and play king of the pack with my mates as we compete to take the best speccy of the day.
- Damon Broun
At school me and my mates love running over to the oval during lunch and playing competitive king of the pack. It is perfect for perfecting the sticky mitts. I love taking hangs, and getting around the boys... When I fly high my mates scream “KRAKOUER, the jack-in-the-box”.

I am just looking forward to the smiles on my daughters faces when they run on for the first game of the season.

The simple pleasure of our family walking to our local club each Saturday. Seeing other families from our suburb there and feeling part of the community. Enjoying kick to king , sitting close to the boundary line cheering the home teams and buying hot chips from the canteen.
- Andrew Vitolins
I am soooo looking forward to umpiring again. This will be my 3rd year and I love it! My ambition is to be an AFL umpire and last year I was awarded Best First Year Umpire in Youth Football. I would love a new footy to practice the bounce!
- Kieran Todd
As a volunteer (Colts timekeeper) I look forward to getting back on the road each weekend either with my Mom or with one of my co-timekeepers. There is a 'buzz' in the time-keepers box no matter what grade or who the opponent is. Volunteering is the maximum, so awesome.

Getting back to training and playing our first ever womans game as a new Brand new team at the Canning South Perth Tigers. Super excited to get straight into it & support and push one another and support the club. GO TIGERS!!
