Over the weekend, Whitfords Junior Football Club hosted the West Perth Football District’s Auskick Gala Day. Among the 140 Auskick teams who came down, 4 Starkick teams were also playing.

The Starkick All Ability program is a WA initiative started in 2015, which has now grown to 5 clubs in the metropolitan area. Starkick provides children of all abilities an opportunity to play Auskick alongside their peers. 

Four of the WA State Integrated Team memebrs came down to help out with the day, passig down their knowledge to 60 children. A big thank you to Geoff, Kyron, David and Scott for being positive role models for the kids! 

Auskick Gala Days are hosted in each metropolitan football club district and is an opportunity for all Auskick Centres to come together to showcase the skills their teams have learnt over the season. West Perth district invited all Starkick Centres from across the metro area to join their Gala Day, giving the teams an opportunity to play against other All Abilities teams. 

The four Starkick teams in attendance on the weekend were representing Coolbinia JFC, East Fremantle JFC, Joondalup-Kinross JFC and Quinns JFC. It is expected that the Starkick All Abilities Program will expand to more clubs in 2020.
