The West Australian Football Commission has relocated to Tuart College for the duration of the redevelopment of Subiaco Oval.
Tuart College is located at 105 Banksia St, Tuart Hill. To access the WAFC offices, enter the premises via the Grenville Street carpark and follow directional signange to the former Library building.
The WAFC has been allocated a 3000sqm area of land to return to Subiaco in the future as part of the Subi-East redevelopment.
WAFC CEO Gavin Taylor said securing land in the precinct was an exciting step for WA Football towards guaranteeing a long-term home back in Subiaco.
“Securing a long-term home at Subiaco has been a key priority for the WAFC so I am delighted we have finalised this agreement with the State Government and can look forward to planning a new facility for WA Football at its spiritual home.”
“Our future vision is to ensure that we can provide the best possible facilities for WA’s male and female talent academies, football development and local footy for many generations of footballers to come, whilst showcasing the memorabilia of our great game and history of Subiaco Oval.”
“We will also be aiming to form key partnerships to commercialise some of the new facility space to ensure it is self-funded and sustainable.”
“As we plan for our future home we look forward to engaging with the City of Subiaco, State Government and local stakeholders to explore the many exciting development opportunities on this site.”
“In the meantime, Tuart College provides a suitable short-term solution with office space, playing fields and an indoor gymnasium to accommodate our football development programs, training activities and administration staff.”
“The temporary move to Tuart College is part of the WAFC’s overall funding and accommodation agreement with the State. The WAFC has a short-term lease at Tuart College for our training and administration needs to support WA Football.”
The WAFC’s mailing address remains PO Box 275, Subiaco WA 6904 and phone number (08)9381 5599.
