Talented West Australian midfielder, Sydney Stack is officially a Tiger, with the Club lodging paperwork on Monday to recruit the Perth Demons product.
The 18-year-old has been training with Richmond since December, as part of the AFL’s new Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period.
The 2018 U18 All Australian and speedy midfielder played for WAFL Club, Perth, and performed strongly in last year’s National Carnival.
Richmond General Manager – Football, Neil Balme said Stack had earned his place in the Richmond team.
“We’re delighted to welcome Sydney to the Club, he’s worked really hard to secure a spot on the list, and we know he’ll continue to work hard to develop his football,” Balme said.
“Sydney’s got great speed, skill, and competes really hard, so we’re excited by what he’ll bring to the team.
“We think that Richmond is a positive environment for him, and we’re pleased with how he’s settling into the Club and our football program.”
Stack’s recruitment takes the tally of Western Australian's drafted onto AFL lists to 14, with Zac Clarke picked up by Essendon during the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period.
