Ronald McDonald House Charity Round 15 Match PreviewsFriday, July 13, 2018 - 12:04 PM - by Chris Pike

THERE are just the three games in Round 15 of the WAFL but that includes the top two teams locking horns while Swan Districts and East Perth, and Perth and Peel Thunder fight over positions in the bottom part of the top five.

Round 15 of the WAFL might only feature three matches with Claremont, East Fremantle and West Perth having the bye, but it could very well be season-defining for most of the six teams involved.

The round gets underway on Saturday at Leederville Oval with Subiaco hosting South Fremantle.

It's the first times the two teams have met since Round 2 when Subiaco beat South Fremantle by 58 points at Fremantle Community Bank in what was the Bulldogs' first appearance of 2018 following the Round 1 bye.

Subiaco has gone on to remain undefeated in 2018 improving to an imposing 12-0 record coming into Saturday's clash against the second placed South Fremantle who is 9-3 having won three in-a-row also.

It shapes as the biggest challenge for Subiaco this season and it could be a chance for South Fremantle to make a real statement heading towards the finals.

The game starts at 1.40pm at Leederville Oval and will be shown live on Channel 7 from 1.30pm.

Then in the traditional 2.15pm time slot, Perth is hosting Peel Thunder with a win to either side to move them into a top five and to be a strong chance to play finals football in 2018.

Then at Steel Blue Oval from 2.25pm, Swan Districts will host East Perth with both teams looking to snap significant losing streaks.

Swans coming into the game still in fourth position at 5-7 but having lost four in-a-row while the Royals have now lost six in succession after being 4-1 heading into the State game break.

A win for either side will put them in a strong position to play finals while life becomes significantly more difficult for the loser.
