Clontarf Aboriginal College has claimed the Fremantle Dockers Cup White Division title after the team cemented a thrilling one-point victory over Shenton College at McGillivray Reserve on Monday.
Shenton College narrowly missed forcing extra time when a snap from deep in the right forward pocket hit the behind post in the dying seconds of the Grand Final.
Shenton College had a nine-point lead at half time but Clontarf Aborginal College fought back and pushed ahead mid way through the half.
Shenton College registered four behinds late in the game and couldn't overcome Clontarf Aboringal College.
Ala McKay was named best player for Clontarf Aboriginal College and was presented with a signed Fremantle Dockers AFL Women's jumper, while Shenton College midfielder Isabella Lewis was awarded the match ball for her outstanding performance.
West Australian Football Commission School Specialist David Lindsay thanked the Fremantle Football Club for their continued support of the competition.
“It’s fantastic to have the support of the Fremantle Dockers for our senior girls competition and the match was befitting a Grand Final. Congratulations to both Clontarf and Shenton," he said.
