A number of Perth students with disability recently got given the opportunity to hang out with West Coast Eagles players as part of an initiative run by the WA Football Commission (WAFC).
Eagles players, including Nic Naitanui and Andrew Gaff, visited Leeming Senior High School, Corpus Christi, Joondalup Primary School, Gladys Newton, Sacred Heart, John XXIII and Holy Rosary on Monday May 7.
The students got the chance to show the players their school work along with their footy skills.
WAFC Schools Specialist David Lindsay said the students thoroughly enjoyed the visits and the Eagles players were very engaging.
“The club was very supportive of the initiative and the players were fantastic mixing with the students," Lindsay said.
“Australian Football is an all-inclusive sport and it’s important we continue connecting and enhancing school communities through our great game.”
