WEST Perth handed Subiaco its first loss of the 2018 WAFL Colts season on Saturday while Peel Thunder, Swan Districts and East Fremantle also scored impressive Round 6 victories.

Round 6 of the 2018 WAFL Colts season saw West Perth defeat Subiaco 18.7 (115) to 8.8 (56) at Leederville Oval.

Peel Thunder also defeated Claremont 21.10 (136) to 9.4 (58) at Bendigo Bank Stadium with Swan Districts beating South Fremantle 12.15 (87) to 3.8 (26) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Then on Sunday at East Fremantle Oval, East Fremantle beat East Perth 13.6 (84) to 10.5 (65).

Following six rounds of the 2018 WAFL Colts season, Perth has moved to the top of the ladder despite the bye in Round 6 with a 4-1 record following Subiaco's loss to West Perth.

Subiaco (4-1) remains in second position ahead of Swan Districts (4-2), West Perth (3-3) and East Fremantle (3-3).

Peel Thunder (2-3) sits in sixth position followed by Claremont (2-3), South Fremantle (1-4) and East Perth (1-4).

SOUTH FREMANTLE v SWAN DISTRICTS

Swan Districts opened the day at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday with an impressive performance in the colts, defeating South Fremantle 12.15 (87) to 3.8 (26).

Swans started strongly with three goals to one in the first quarter and then held the Bulldogs goalless over the next two quarters to lead by 24 points at half-time and 62 points at three quarter-time.

South Fremantle did manage to kick two goals to one in the final term but Swan Districts still won by 61 points.

The 61-point victory improves Swan Districts to a 4-2 record and third position on the colts table after six rounds of the 2018 season.

South Fremantle's colts slip to a 1-4 record for the season to be in eighth position after six rounds.

Atem Deng kicked four goals from 17 possessions for Swan Districts with Patrick Farrant also booting four majors.

Graydon Wilson gathered 29 possessions and took nine marks for Swans while Brenton Hilton gathered 27 disposals, Riley Garcia 25, Jackson Beck 19, Mitch Bain 17 and Sebastian Bright 15.

Luke Moore was terrific for South Fremantle with 22 possessions, six marks, six inside-50 entries and two goals.

Regan Spooner collected 29 disposals for the Bulldogs, Tom Blechynden 21, Enrique Aiken-Featherstone 17, James Russell 17 and Manfred Kelly 17.

SUBIACO v WEST PERTH

Subiaco put its undefeated start to the WAFL Colts season on the line on Saturday at Leederville Oval but West Perth handed the Lions their first defeat with an impressive 59-point win.

Subiaco had won its opening four games of the season against East Perth, South Fremantle, Swan Districts and Claremont prior to the bye in Round 5.

They couldn’t make it five successive wins, though, with the Falcons getting on top all game before ending up claiming the 18.7 (115) to 8.8 (56) win.

West Perth kicked four goals to three in the first quarter and then another four to three in the second to lead by 12 points at half-time.

The Falcons further kicked away in the third quarter with seven goals to one and then another three to one in the final term to end up winning by 59 points.

Logan Foley kicked four goals for West Perth from five kicks with Ben Johnson, Filimone Muavou and Koopah Todd kicking two goals apiece.

Nathan Murray amassed 30 possessions for the Falcons, Daniel Rowe 27, Alec Johnson 17, Muavou 17, Todd 16, Ben Johnson two and Jaxon Prior 15.

Jack Mayo and Sam West kicked two goals apiece for Subiaco.

Tristan Hobley gathered 24 possessions for the Lions, Will Hickmott 24, Jacob Peletier 20, Liam Hickmott 17 and Zane Shellabear Healey 16.

PEEL THUNDER v CLAREMONT

Peel Thunder put together an impressive performance to defeat Claremont by 78 points at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Saturday.

Peel led by 12 points at quarter-time and had stretched that advantage to 22 by half-time.

The Thunder then further kicked away in the third quarter piling on seven goals to one and then another six to three in the last term to end up winning 21.10 (136) to 9.4 (58).

Lachlan Cullen kicked five goals for Peel with Tyrone Thorne, Billy Chambers and Jack Sears all booting three apiece. Brad Oldfield and Tyson Powell kicked two goals each as well.

James Sturrock collected 30 possessions for the Thunder, Lachlan Riley 28, Jake Howes 27, Jackson Perry 25, Jarvis Pina 22, Oldfield 21, Jarrad Fazioli 19 and Jason Carter 18.

Callum Jamieson kicked two goals for Claremont from five kicks.

Rylie Morgan finished with 23 possessions for the Tigers, Tyron Smallwood 20 and Nathan Pearce 17. Bowe Road had 10 disposals, 22 hit outs and a goal from the ruck.

EAST FREMANTLE v EAST PERTH

East Fremantle hit back from a slow start against East Perth on Sunday at East Fremantle Oval to kick 10 goals to four in the second half to come away with the 19-point victory.

East Perth started strongly with four goals to two in the first quarter and another two to one in the second to lead East Fremantle by 17 points at half-time.

But the Sharks came out inspired from the break with the reigning premiers kicking six goals to one in the third quarter, and four to three in the last to claim the 13.6 (84) to 10.5 (65) victory.

Milan Murdock kicked two goals for East Fremantle to go with 23 possessions, eight tackles and five marks.

Josh Ritchie, Ethan Brown and Cameron Davidson also kicked two goals each for the Sharks.

Corey Robinson picked up 26 possessions for East Fremantle, Nicholas Patat 14, Cody Smith 14 and Nicholas Watson 13 to go with 29 hit outs.

Ben McGuire kicked four goals for East Perth, Rhai-Arn Cox three and Reuben Pasalich two.

Tom Baulch gathered 25 possessions for the Royals to go with 10 tackles, nine marks and six inside-50 entries.

Louis Miller also had 23 disposals, Damon Greaves 23, Harley Sparks 19 and Tyler Hoffman 16.
