ROUND 6 of the 2018 WAFL season sees four fascinating fixtures spread across Saturday and Sunday as the players in the competition also look to cement their spots in next week's State game.
Three of the four Round 6 matches take place at 2.15pm on Saturday afternoon including Peel Thunder and Claremont doing battle at Bendigo Bank Stadium.
Both teams are attempting to win their second games of the season after 1-3 starts.
South Fremantle and Swan Districts meet at Fremantle Community Bank Oval in their first meeting since the Bulldogs beat Swans in last year's first semi-final at the same venue by 80 points.
South Fremantle has won three straight matches now since a loss to Subiaco while Swan Districts are also coming off a big win against East Fremantle that improved them to a 3-2 record.
The other game on Saturday afternoon features Subiaco against West Perth at Leederville Oval.
The Lions are coming off the bye following four straight wins to start the season by an average of 89.5 points against East Perth, South Fremantle, Swan Districts and Claremont. The Falcons have done well to beat Swan Districts and Perth the last two weeks, though, to improve to 3-2.
The round concludes on Sunday afternoon with the struggling East Fremantle taking on the in-form East Perth.
The Sharks have lost by a combined 184 points the past two weeks against South Fremantle and Swan Districts while the Royals have won impressively against West Perth, Perth and Peel Thunder since a Round 1 loss to Subiaco by 118 points.
The games are the last before the WAFL takes on the SANFL next Saturday at Adelaide Oval in the 2018 State match.
