Round 6 of the WAFL sees Peel Thunder host Claremont this Saturday afternoon, with games also taking place at Fremantle Community Bank Oval and Leederville Oval. The local footy action concludes on Sunday in at East Fremantle Oval where the Sharks and Royals clash heads.
There will be heaps happening around the grounds including fun zones, pop-up food and beverage outlets and competitions for the whole family. Check out what you can get involved in at the footy this weekend.
Make your way down to Mandurah this Saturday to see Peel Thunder take on Claremont at Bendigo Bank Stadium from 2.15pm. Cheer on the Thunder and watch the Little League at half time.
Grab the clan and head to Fremantle Community Bank Oval to cheer on the Bulldogs who take on the Swans from 2.15pm. All South Fremantle and Swan Districts members and supporters are welcome to visit the club’s new Barracks Bar at Convicts Corner, which is located at the north-east end of the ground. The new bar offers Fremantle’s famous Culley’s meat pies and sausage rolls. Get your hands on one before they all go! The bar is also offering a $10 Carlton Draught & Pie Special. Make sure to look out for the Carlton Draught banners.
Fremantle Coffee Yard will also be serving one of Port’s most famous coffee blends – Gesha coffee and a selection of delicious freshly made muffins, breads and juices. It will be open from 9am and is situated just outside the South Fremantle member’s stand.
Bar food is available from the WJ Hughes bar from 10am including Benny’s famous pulled pork burger for only $10.
Get to Leederville to witness rivalry teams Subiaco and West Perth battle it out for a Round 6 victory which kicks off at 2.15pm. There is heaps happening at the game including the Marron and Gold Box Challenge taking place a half-time for all kids. Every kid can win a prize for simply entering and those who manage to kick the footy into the boxes can win a Lions branded footy.
Get hamburgers, footy chips, continental rolls and all your food favourites by visiting Topolini’s TO-GO, located upstairs in the alfresco area alongside the Subiaco bar.
The Subiaco Bar will be open from 10.30am. Happy Hour will be between 1pm and 2pm and again between 6pm and 7pm where you can purchase Corona’s for just $5.
Make sure to stick around after the match for the big post game presentation night where all 2018 debutants will receive their official club ties. League and Reserve awards will also be presented and you will hear from League head coach Jarrad Schofield and Reserves coach Matt Cavedon.
