Three reports and a melee were reviewed by the WAFL Match Review Panel this week, with Josh Deluca from Subiaco dismissed, teammate Michael Braut receiving a financial sanction and Perth's Cody Ninyette accepting a one match penalty.
Deluca was reported for striking Morgan Davies, Claremont, in the 3rd quarter of the League match between Subiaco and Claremont at Leederville Oval. Based on the available evidence and a victim impact report from the Claremont Football Club, it was the view of the MRP that the contact and force was insufficient to that required to constitute a report. No further action was taken.
Michael Braut, Subiaco, was cited for Rough Conduct on Jack Beek, Claremont, in the 3rd quarter of the League match between Subiaco and Claremont on Thursday at Leederville Oval. Based on the available evidence and a victim impact report from the Claremont Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, low impact and body contact. Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as a $100 sanction. An early guilty plea enabled the player to accept a $50 sanction.
Cody Ninyette, Perth, was reported for kicking Callum Hart, East Perth, during the 4th quarter of the League match between Perth and East Perth at Lathlain Park. Based on the available video evidence and a victim impact report from East Perth Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.
Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as one (1) match sanction. The player had an applicable behaviour record which impacted the penalty, increasing it to a two (2) match sanction. An early guilty plea enabled the player to reduce the penalty to a one (1) match sanction.
